He’s been a massive disappointment for the majority of the season, but Oladipo has really turned it on of late, averaging 18.3 points, 4.4 rebounds, 4.0 assists, 1.9 steals, 0.4 blocks and 2.9 threes while shooting 49.0 percent from the floor and 87.5 percent from the line over the past seven games, when he’s been a top-20 fantasy player. Over his last four contests, he’s somehow been 17-for-26 from beyond the arc and most importantly, he’s seen 40.1 mpg (the third-most in the NBA). Oladipo is back in the starting lineup, something that hopefully sticks despite Elfrid Payton’s return from injury Thursday. Forget the sluggish start that’s now well behind him!

ZAZA PIKACHULIA
He’s averaged 14.2 points, 12.3 rebounds and 2.0 steals while shooting 50.0 percent from the field and 80.8 percent from the line over the past two weeks (six games), a span in which he’s been a top-30 player. The big man had previously never averaged 8.0 rpg during any season of his 13-year career, but he’s grabbing 10.7 in 2015/16. Pachulia also currently holds career-highs in PER (18.36) and True Shooting Percentage (57.2). His wife is also pretty fucking hot.

Seeing these stats for January thus far, you might think...is this Kemba Walker? Reggie Jackson?
Nope. Ish Smith.
Prior to getting Ish this season, the Sixers were really doing horrendous. Per game, they were putting up 91.4 points, 18.8 assists, and turning the ball over 17.8 times. In the 10 games since trading for Ish, the Sixers have scored 99.3 points, dished out 23.7 assists, and improved a bit on turnovers, only committing 17 per game. Ish is responsible for a significant portion of these improvements, as the addition of him to this team has pushed them to improve in all of these categories.
Ish himself during this short tenure with the Sixers this season, is averaging 16.2 points and 7.8 assists in 30.4 minutes a game, which all would be career highs.

Khris Middleton January 2016:
20.9 pts, 5.1 assists, 3.7 rebounds in 38.2 minutes per game, usage% finally up towards (but not quite) 25%.
Not too shabby.
-- by the way, only mentioning minutes and usage because I made the argument last season that all that was standing in his way was needing more minutes and a higher usage in the offense.

It's probably safe to say he's figured out the NBA post game. He made 12-of-16 from the field tonight and he's made 61% percent from the field in January (12 games) Okafor still isn't blocking shots much, but his steals are solid and his turnovers have dropped. He is trending up and the 76ers are now 5-37.

That boy is a scrub. Robert Upshaw is where it's at.

Aaron Gordon
Since entering the Magic's starting lineup, Aaron Gordon has averaged 10.3 rbs (2.8 being offensive), 2.2 assists, 0.7 steals, 1.2 blocks and 9.7 pts per game in 30.4min. His energy and athleticism also carry through on defense. He is quick on his feet and his 7 foot wingspan makes him a legitimate shot blocking threat. I couldn't find this stat for this year, but last year (his rookie season) he held opponents to 3.2% worse shooting than their season averages...not bad for a rookie. He is versatile, both offensively and defensively, showing 3 point range and being able to guard multiple positions. Expect great things to come from him in the near future.
He also had arguably one of the best dunks of all time in the Slam Dunk Contest last night. Even Drummond and Lavine thought he won after that dunk. An incredible display of his athleticism.
He currently is second the NBA in scoring among players with fewer than 15 starts (15.2 PPG), behind Pelicans pal Ryan Anderson, and has a career-high PER of 20.30. He also ranks 14th among NBA point guards in ESPN’s real plus-minus (1.33).
This is cool... but Jesus, that's the worst cherry-picked stat I've ever seen. Set a threshold at exactly .05% worse in three unrelated advanced stats and then sort by a 4th equally unrelated stat. Not that in a vacuum all those individual stats aren't impressive, but the combination of them under such strict parameters like anybody but Al was likely to come out on top is just silly.
I honestly like Horford a lot and I'm horrified of the possibility of him joining a team like the Warriors this offseason that could really use him. Everyone keeps talking about KD, but if they replaced Bogut with a comparably good defender that actually still has a good offensive game, they'd be unreal.

Dragan Bender. How valuable he is now?. Suns fans over RealGM seem to be as high as ever but his stats line is no good, lol. Potential is overrated. :P They mostly like him because he looks like someone that could make something happen eventually.
Some good players actually don't have good rookie seasons though. Guess next season or the next after that will be the real test for him. LOL at the 2016 draft so far.

Been really impressed with Jamal Murray this season. His shot looks great, showing some flashes of having the potential to be a serious scorer in this league and even doing well with the ball in his hands. He has been super versatile as an off and on ball guard, and seems to be making the most of the chances he is getting. Combined with his great work ethic and competitive spirit, I am quite excited to see him develop.
Quite a few highlight videos on YouTube, but this was from last night.
