Good eye & I checked it before I made the offer but, it can't really work here.
1. Kawhi has been in the NBA more than two seasons
2. If we applied this provision in our league every player would essentially be eligible as 1st or 2nd yr player in the D720 league

Well RFA status is relatively rare. It will just extend the eligible Arenas players from udfas and 2nd-rounders to include 1st rounders in the latter half of their rookie contract, i.e. players from the 2011 and 2012 drafts. Remove busts and players that have already been extended and we're looking at maybe 30 players, i.e. one per D720 team. I don't think it's crazy to consider (and it should be added for players entering the league in future rookie drafts).

OK, here's where it goes off the deep end. You are a liar Mr. Gates... I've already posted the msg where you told me we had a deal. Now, no one can ever trust you. A man's word is his bond & you sir have a long way to go. billy you asked that me what I want you to do about it? I'd like this Clipper trade put on hold. I want to have right of first refusal on Kawhi. We can post a poll as to what's a *fair deal* for him is but, me losing out on Kawhi before even getting to post in a trade thread is bush league... You don't have to like me billy. I know we don't see eye to eye but, this type of thing shouldn't happen in an honest league.

Stop being mad you didn't get to trade rape a kid that didn't understand the rules. While I admit I probably should have waited for the deal to be posted publicly, the end result is the same, the trade was gonig to be rejected as soon as the rules were properly explained to Sacramento. You're trying to say he should be held to accepting an offer while he still didn't fully understand the free agency rules. That's not going to fly. Theres no special gimmicks here, no rights of refusal. Once Sacramento knew what he was actually giving up and how RFA works, he rejected it. Trying to rush the posting before both parties understand the rules is more underhanded then me informing Sacramento of how the rules work.

billy you didn't let us get there. I didn't even have a chance to have any trade reviewed, let alone a rape. You simply became a one man veto crew. And now, another team gets to jump ahead because of that? Let's ask the league what should happen then... Ask them if it is fair for the comish to msg a GM behind another GMs back to influence a trade before its even gone to committee? And, then go ahead to approve a trade with that player for another team?

You mean the TC hasn't ruled yet, OK that's a positive. billyPlease do the right thing here. Other GM's have said my Rondo, 1st & 2nd round 2015 picks is a fair offer for Kawhi. Bill Gates, regardless of age, should be held accountable for giving his word. (At least enough to get in front of an official review, yeah?) The Celtics should also get a chance to present a *fair deal* to the Kings & the TC before the player gets shipped off to another team. We shouldn't even be in this position but, with what happened last night please be fair & let the original deal play out. Let's stop fighting here. Let's all of us find some common ground to resolve this. There's a solution here outside of just killing the deal before it began.
