1 buyout every 3 seasons is fine. And I say it as someone who is helping Yeezy that already lost his buyout, lol. I have used the concept of buyout in trades to get teams value but pretty it is mostly meant for a team to get out of a contract they signed rather than use that weapon every year to get assets.
Also, buyouts are available once every 3 seasons but you can stretch as much offers as you want. Don't really know the answer but in real life don't you actually see stretched contracts more than what we call buyouts. I mean, pretty sure you can't do it in real life kill a contract by fitting it all in one year.

Also, if we had 1 buyout per season for each team we would have around 15 buyouts the 1st season assuming we have active GMs lol. So, the first season that might not seem like a problem but later you will have more teams with cap space because the bad contracts are gone and having more teams with cap space would lead to even more contracts gone. Then, at one point you would have totally unreal off-seasons with no bad contracts at all and all teams having cap space.

I dont really see why cant we change this rule to one buyout per year as that prevents GMs from abusing buyouts and also increases the flexibility of buyouts more than it is now.Plus it requires a lot of cap space to buy out those large albatross contracts so I dont think really a team can buy out more than one albatross per year 1 buyout per season IS abuse how often does a team buyout a contract IRL?
