How does this work? Pick 30 has used up their time slot. But the rules also state that 2nd round picks will have their times allotted once the round begins... I haven't seen the time allotment. Is it my turn yet?

No, my understanding is time slots will be allocated in the morning so that's when the 2nd Rd picks back up

I don't think that's right. Why does pick 30 have like 30 hours to pick when every other 1st rounder got 12 (except the top 5 picks)?
I think 2nds can keep rolling, you can always pick BEFORE your time allotment, as long as the guy before you has already picked. You just can't get skipped until your time allotment is up.

Woah 2nd round draft picks are allotted time slots and they have yet to be assigned. It's clearly written in the OP and has been this way since the dawn of time. I will assign timeslots tomorrow morning.
I guess you just played your hand by not reading the rules.

His time should pause after 12 hours, and he can't post his pick until the 2nd round starts.

There's always been a little lull between 30 and 31, I don't see why it's a super big deal. I'll assign timeslots tomorrow morning, unless someone else wants to type it up. I'm on a remote desert island and my phone until then.

So, if he's not allowed to post his pick until the 2nd round actually starts, there's a chance that Pick 31 (or others) get made before he posts his pick. That would be the potential for a penalty. Just like picks 6-29 had the chance to get their pick skipped after 12 hours.
