Dallas Trades: Al Farouq Aminu (60) $1,100,602
Salary traded: $1,100,602 Team salary after trade: $65,879,860
Phoenix Trades: Kyle O'Quinn (45) $4,250,000 - $4,500,000 - 4,750,000 (TO) - 5,000,000 (TO) Tim Hardaway Jr (51) $1,304,520 - $2,281,605 (TO) - 3,335,707 (QO)
Salary traded: $5,554,520 Team salary after trade: $53,635,377
I accept. When I signed O'Quinn, my team direction was very different than it is now. He doesn't really fit what I'm trying to accomplish this season. Also, due to having quite a few wing players, Hardaway was in a difficult position for my team this season. I like Aminu's versatility and plan to play him off the bench at the 3 and 4. Although I don't get any birds and or RFA abilities with Aminu, his one year contract fits my goal of doing well this season. I need the depth this season more than the developing players.

Since Kyle O'Quinn was signed outright in restricted free agency, you won't be able to trade him until a certain amount of time has passed (I don't remember exactly how much).

I thought that we voted to change that rule? And the rule is in place to stop collusion...which isn't the case here for me because I signed O'Quinn when I planned to rebuild. Never had the intention to trade him until after I traded Beal.

It is in place to stop collusion, but it's gotta be in place for all instances otherwise there is too much gray area.
The rule we voted to change was only for your own RFAs who got an offer sheet from another team and you chose to match it. If you sign someone else's restricted free agent outright, then it's just a normal signing and the sign and trade rule is still in place. But if Miami had chosen to match your offer sheet for O'Quinn they would have been able to trade him immediately.

Was there another offer for O'Quinn? Or if there was, was it not as good? If not, how could there be collusion with the PA if the PA doesn't mean have power in where the player signs?

There were other offers for O'Quinn, yes. And it wouldn't matter if there weren't: again, if we introduce situation sign-and-trade restrictions, there is far too much gray area to avoid running into unnecessary drama over the issue. Especially because this was one of the players that I was player agent for, I'm not going to leave any room for accusations of collusion here. This trade will have to wait.

But if my offer was clearly the better offer, there is no power for the PA to choose where the player goes and therefore can't have the collusion issue

But if my offer was clearly the better offer, there is no power for the PA to choose where the player goes and therefore can't have the collusion issue There really are plenty of ways that this situation could be collusion. For example: A random GM has a player that I want and won't trade him to me. I have a player you want. Random GM wants Kyle O'Quinn (and would trade the player I want for him). Random GM doesn't have the cap space to outbid you as long as you offer x amount, so I tell you to bid X amount on O'Quinn, so that when you get O'Quinn you can convince Random GM to trade you the player I want, and then in turn you and I make the trade swapping the player you want and the player that I want. Sure, that's definitely not going on here, but it easily could be. When there's room for that kind of gray area, and we have a rule to help clarify what is and isn't legal, we just need to follow it to the letter.

If it makes you feel any better, once the season starts I think Kyle should receive a rating increase if you post a stock watch thread for him :)

So this goes into the queued trade folder once Mavs accept? No, it would go into the queued folder if it was a legal trade, and if it is accepted and waiting to be processed. This trade will go into rejected since it's illegal.
