Current Rating: 68 This increase has definitely been justified for a while. 2015-16 Stat line: 12.8 pts/8.1 reb/7.1 ast/1.2 stl/1.5 blk -- 48.2% FG/42.6% 3PT/77.1% FT What is there to say about the 2nd most important player on a title winning team and perennial championship contender? He does it all: elite perimeter and interior defense, assists like a boss (assisted on 28.6% of teammate field goals through 18 games this season), rebounds well for a 6'7" power forward (about 8 per game), blocks and steals like a fucking champion (1.3 blocks, 1.5 steals per game dating back to the beginning of last year!!), and do I even need to mention the beautiful percentages? This badass is shooting 48.2 FG/42.6 3PT/77.1 FT through 18 games this season, curing the biggest drawbacks of his game from last season (3pt% and ft%) while making everything else look easy. 119 O-Rating, 98 D-Rating; .221 Win Shares per 48, the highest of his career by a wide margin; 60.2 True Shooting Percentage. Everything about his game has elevated from last year. Draymond Green is a better player for the Golden State Warriors team than Klay Thompson is in real life, and I think his ratings should reflect that. Thanks, Steve

I actually think this is really tough. 68 is a really high rating. Any higher and he's an all-star. Which, to be fair, he's in the conversation of being an all-star. But his all-star level contributions are very much non-box-score contributions. By plus-minus metrics he's a top 10 player (RPM has him at 6). By boxscore metrics he's around top 50 (PER has him at 52), very good but not an allstar. He probably has one of the highest variances between those numbers.
So, it comes down to what you think is most telling (plus-minus numbers are very noisey, box-score numbers miss out on some aspects of the game), and what you think we are really modeling for the sim.
I personally think we should be pretty conservative with any increase on Draymond.

The eye test to me has confirmed over and over again that last years surge wasn't a fluke, and he is better. They play through him. If Draymond Green wasn't on that team they don't win a championship, they don't even make it out of the 2nd round.
