Indiana PacersPF 73 Al Jefferson $13,500,000 GF 50 Justin Anderson 1,068,400 $1,116,400 $1,164,500 $2,036,711 $2,977,671for New Orleans PelicansPF 65 Markieff Morris $15,000,000 $13,500,000 $12,000,000 $10,500,000 $9,000,000 I accept, Big Al is useless to me but so is Markieff. Markieff will fit much better next to Gasol than Big Al does... he wasn't going to resign in Indiana with Gasol there and now Indiana can get something for nothing! Markieff will not keep up his poor play once he gets his wish to be traded from Phoenix. Me? I get one of my favorite late round project guys in JA. If this passes and anyone wants Big Al let me know!

I can acknowledge that an expiring Al probably doesn't have any real value, but it still seems like it's probably a big price to pay for a guy in Kieff that's closer to being stock watched to low 60s than he is ever being good enough to get in the 70s. Giving up a promising rookie in the process... It just seems very unlikely this trade benefits Indiana in the way that Reggie is hoping.
More than anything I don't know why anybody would bother trading a 70-plus (for now) player to a tanking team who not only doesn't need them but actively doesn't want them, which then forces them to ask for extra return to make up for taking on salary/talent that they can't keep. It's like the sim-league equivalent of taking an instrument into Guitar Center and selling it for 50% of what it's worth because you need the money and don't feel like taking the time to sell online. Even if it's just a slightly better outcome, it's way more likely a contender would pay some decent value in return.
I suppose I'm not rejecting this... Still thinking though.

to me jefferson has less value than kief. Atleast kief has a future on a long term contract and I could see this season being an anomaly for him. But jefferson is out 6 weeks on an expiring deal which means he has little to no value (there are possibilities of him being out for the season). The way look at this deal is Indiana wants to fight for a good playoff spot so they had to give up a young prospect to get an established guy.

Big Al just had surgery. Markieff is a rare player in that he can play center and shoot the 3... Which is amazing in the sim. A 66 rated center that has the 3 attribute (that Kieff could get with a stock watch after being traded to not Phoenix) is worth a max contract easily, because there so so few of them and Kieffs contract is AMAZING. 9 million in 2020?! And as far as asking for extra return I approached him for a Amir for Justin Anderson swap and he countered with what you see here.

Accept. I still think, even with Al's injury, that this is an overpay for a very average player that is currently underperforming and playing like a 60, but it's some kind of return for a player that might be out for the season on a team that wants to contend, so I'm not gonna say no.
