After losing 3 out of our last 6 games, the Seattle Supersonics accept this move. Along with this little skid, we are skeptical if we have the necessary combination of talent around LeBron at this time to win a championship. With this move, the Supersonics realize there will be a hole at the shooting guard position. However, I am in active talks with GMs to bring in a replacement if this trade goes through. I felt our biggest weakness was the lack of a physical big man who can rebound and I am excited to see how Derrick fits into our team. @docrivers101 billyColin Loftin Brown Cobb IV Steve Jobs Reggie Miller Brian Scalabrine

Now that Orlando's other trade has passed, we are now onto this one.
Still waiting for an accept from Doc.

I reject. Doc loses bird rights and a sexy contract for just two years of DeRozan, which seems redundant with Butler and Cj. Not even considering fit, its a lateral move at best.

i actually dont mind this trade, once you look at the hawks-magic trade you will see him moving cj for a point guard. I actually like his line up of cory josph, jimmy butler, derozan and deandre jordan. I think that backcourt is very strong defensively and has great range. A slasher like derozan is what is missing, and he has the inside D with jordan He gets flexibility next year with another defensive stopper in MKG returning. at that point he can move away from one of his elite wings, but for now i like the move.

But... He is losing the ability to retain an all-star level player in his prime who is on one of the best deals in the league. I just don't see this trade moving his team forward, and if he's going to move away from Favors he can definitely get more. Like, why is that pick in there? And isn't CJ, Butler, MKG, Favors, DJ better than CoJo, Butler, Derozan,????, DJ?

its a lateral move at best. shouldnt this be a reason you accept since trades should be accepted as long as they arent franchise ruining?

its a lateral move at best. shouldnt this be a reason you accept since trades should be accepted as long as they arent franchise ruining? See "at best" I think longterm this is a huge huge mistake for Orlando. In two years they could have nothing to show for having traded Favors, so I'm rejecting because the long term outlook is bad and the present effect of the trade doesn't really move the needle anyway. Also, with big men being extremely valuable in this league, that is also making me reject.

I accept.. very good move by the Sonics.. I think Derozan and lebron cant coexist and tha sonics really need a low post scorer other than LMA as for Magic, having Derozan will be a good addition to them to add a scorer since Jimmy will be out for a long time

I think Favors and DeRozan, ignoring contracts, would be a even swap, so considering Favors has that third year I do think that Favors should probably command a slightly higher price tag. Additionally, I agree that McCollum, Butler, MKG, Favors, Jordan is going to be a better line up than CoJo, Butler, DeRozan, MKG, Jordan...
But I don't think it's a franchise killing move... I like DeRozan a lot. I just think that it probably isn't very well thought out from Doc.
I'm going to reject on this one, but that's more because I always lean towards rejecting when I view the trade as unbalanced, rather than because I think the trade is just 100% terrible for Orlando.

I think I'm going to reject. While they're fairly comparable players (though I'd rather have Favors), in my opinion that 3rd year for the bird rights makes Favors a good bit more valuable.
