I accept once more....hopefully people will begin to understand that I need DeRozan whether he's is with me for one season or two.

The feel good rotoworld entry about Larry Sanders plotting an NBA comeback doesn't make him worth the difference in value here... at least not until he actually comes back and doesn't completely suck... So I don't know why my position would have changed here.

I am starting to think that this trade isn't going to work...Sorry John, but maybe we need to change things up?

I am starting to think that this trade isn't going to work...Sorry John, but maybe we need to change things up? I was surprised that you didn't use the fact that the majority of the TC was telling you that you could get more for Favors as trade leverage before the second iteration of the trade. When it got rejected twice and you were still happy to run it again for nothing* extra, I became legitimately unsure of your intentions with the trade. It'd be one thing if you didn't already have three legitimate wings (McCollum/Butler/MKG are guys most of the league would love to have), but the fact that you do makes this trade bad for you... But hey, maybe... most likely... we're just missing perspective. If you've got other moves lined up to swap some of your current wings for players that you'd prefer to have on your roster without losing value, go ahead and hammer out those deals so that we can get a sense for your vision for the team and then a trade like this might not look as weird as it does now. I don't mean to be preachy, just telling you what I'd need to see before giving you the benefit of the doubt in a trade like this. *Larry Sanders

This trade seems really shitty.
DeMar is probably a top 3 2 guard in the league right now

Yes, I think Favors sucks. And DeMar is on a super great deal and you'll have his BRs. Favors has Bird rights and a good rating (even though he's injured) and DeMar doesn't have bird rights..so it is good and bad for both of us lol

Ridiculous. This got rejected twice as virtually the exact same trade and it only got through because presumably Colin and Brian were tired of saying no. Favors is a player easily on par with DeRozan and losing Bird Rights is going to be huge against Doc when he really should have been able to pursue more for Favors. Here's Hoping Doc and his 4 wings can find a way to manufacture the same trade value he had previously as he reworks his team to more resemble the team he wants.

lol well. this is hilarious, especially considering I won this trade in hindsight. LOL. At the time you had Butler, McCollum, and MKG. You may have won in the long term value-wise, but certainly didn’t make a move that had any sense from a team building perspective.

you had Butler, McCollum, and MKG. Think Stuff The Magic Dragon got Butler by trading McCollum actually. Could be wrong though.

You may be right, I was basing it off of my comment from back then I am starting to think that this trade isn't going to work...Sorry John, but maybe we need to change things up? Either way, still wasn’t a fantastic move but only because Favors had a decent amount of value at the time otherwise I wouldn’t have rejected saying he should try to get more. lol
