Seems legal (well, not quite. Doc only has $1,870,097 in space). But I want to point out that in the NBA, you can't trade a signed FA for 3 months (or Dec 15th, whichever is later). The exception of course being a sign-and-trade, which this wouldn't be eligible for.

We have a rule that a player cannot be cut for 3 months after signing (to keep people from stacking dead money to trade) but nothing to prevent the trading of the actual player.
