Toronto sends:
72 Chris Bosh $22,192,730 $23,741,060 $25,289,390 $26,837,720
59 Luc Mbah a Moute $1,000,000 $1,100,000 1,200,000
Total salary sent: $23,192,730
No cap because sending more than receiving
Orlando sends:
71 Jimmy Butler $17,500,000 $19,250,000 $21,000,000 $22,750,000 $24,500,000
48 Larry Nance Jr. $957,200 $1,000,200 $1,043,300 $1,883,157 $2,805,903
Total salary sent: $18,457,200
Cap before: $68,129,903
Cap after: $72,744,203
Technically this trade JUST exceeds the 125% rule, but the amount of salary Doc is receiving over 125% is less than the cap space he has. So, my understanding of the rule is that you would start counting for 125% AFTER you reach the cap. Is that right?

I accept. Bosh is really valuable to me as a two way big, but Jimmy Butler is younger and on a better contract. My team can really have an advantage going forward with lots of guys on great value contracts (Wade, Kemba, Butler, Bradley, Dirk for now, ect.) It will be hard to replace Bosh but I can't miss the chance to grab a young stud who is in his prime.

Tis trade's illegal, no? The trade sends ORL over the cap, hence he can only receive 125% of outgoing salary. To quote:
If you are over the cap after a trade, your incoming salaries must not exceed 125% of your outgoing salaries.

So, my understanding of the rule is that you would start counting for 125% AFTER you reach the cap. Is that right? No, Allen is right. It only considers the total traded salary, not traded salary over the cap. Trade rejected due to 125% rule. Back to the drawing board :)

I accept this trade, I like the Bosh, and I think that he'll do good for me next season, Butler is indeed good too but I think that Bosh is a Florida guy lol, he is the future of this franchise!!!
