I get a lottery pick from last year and get to save some money for this offseason. I do hate giving up the 1st rounder, but I'm guessing it'll end up being close to the end. John Calipari

This is the second of three trades I have in the work. I had a few things I wanted to do when I took over. Add a defensive wing (accomplished in Roberson trade) Upgrade my 2016 2nd to a 1st rounder (Check, also got a 2018 2nd added in here) Cash Lyles in for a big man to contribute more now (Check) Adding in a 5+ Million expiring (Jordan Crawford) wasn't something I originally wanted to do, as I wanted to free up cap space next year, but it was a fair price to accomplish the other things on my list. Now, in case my third trade offer in the works falls through, this is a team that should be able to compete enough to sneak into the playoffs, and still have two late first round picks next season.

cool, ill pass. At first I didnt agree with what calipso was doing but his reasoning seems sound. with big contracts such as rose and chandler on the books he might as well win now, and i dont see lyles as a great prospect. And who knows, maybe a hot win streak to close out the season may make dalas a more enticing destination for free agency.
i accept

I accept.
Trade passed.
I think the dropoff in potential from Lyles to Patterson is pretty glaring, though. I'd much rather own Lyles.
