Atlanta Receives: 2016 Boston first round pick chris copeland 1,500,000 Roy Devyn Marble 845,059 Nick Calathes 750, 000 Total Received: 3,050,029
Orlando Receives: 2016 Orlando First Round pick (L*) 2018 Indiana first round pick Meyers Leonard $3.004,879
salaries obey 1.25x rule
I accept, basically orlando has stated that he plans on rebuilding through he draft next year while I am not planning on tanking next year. I owned orlandos 2017 swap as this years pick was unlikely to convey. So we worked out a deal so I could return the pick back to him while i received fair compensation.

i accept this trade, Meyers Leonard was and will be useful to me plus the Boston pick is going down in Value, and I probably won't get a player as Meyers Leonard, the picks will be useful to my team next year while I won't miss Chris Copeland or anybody else.

I was skeptical of this one until the revisions. Atlanta takes on $3.3M in salary next year from the three contracts. Looks like Leonard is an UFA so adding him gives Orlando maybe a 25% chance better chance of signing him. The Orlando pick would likely not turn in to anything unless Orlando finished below Atlanta next year but there is the potential for that to happen. The Indiana pick is two years down the road and may not be a lottery pick as the Boston one is but adding the other pieces in this one are enough for me to accept.
The two variables in this trade are the Orlando pick swap that could have been next year and if Orlando is able to re-sign Leonard since he will not want to go back to Atlanta after they moved him.
Accept

I don't get this one... The Orlando 1st isn't likely to be conveyed, so Doc is essentially swapping a top 10 pick and a few meh prospects for the rights to a pick he wasn't going to convey anyway, a late 1st round pick, and a meh prospect.
Surely a top ten pick is worth more to Orlando than a bottom ten pick and Meyers Leonard...

Does he plan on tanking? I always see him complain about losing and talk about the better days to come when he can win with a healthy roster of Derozan, MKG, Gasol and CoJo

Surely a top ten pick is worth more to Orlando than a bottom ten pick and Meyers Leonard... false, since its not conveyed this year there is swap options on the pick next year. I have run sims for next season (you can run them also) and orlando finishes as a bottom 5 team, while i finish as a bottom 5 team also. However that is with current rosters, and a lot can change. I do not plan on tanking next year, granted my team wont be good but it will not be worse than Orlando who plans on actively tanking and rebuilding. So he's paying you a top ten pick for full rights to his pick under the assumption that his team will be worse than yours? Even if it is worse, the chances aren't even that bad that there will only be a one or two pick difference between them (ATL ain't getting into the playoffs next season...). That's a mighty big gamble to make more than a full season before there is any actual odds to give some clarity to pick order... He could easily trade for that pick swap next year when he knows for sure that he'll be worse than you, not this year when that top 10 pick could be very valuable. Reject from me.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Atl owns the swap option for Orlando's pick, which they would use if Orlando does worse than them. But a team of Derozan, MKG, Cj, CoJo, Okafor and Gasol surely seems like it would be better than a team Stanley, Powell, Exum etc? That means that Orlando likely wouldn't be giving their 2017 pick to Atlanta? Breaking the trade down to the Boston pick for 2018 Indiana pick with random low rated guys thrown in...?
Obviously this rests on how it plays out next season with injuries and trades, but as is, I don't see how Orlando could be worse than Atlanta next year.

I always see him complain about losing and talk about the better days to come when he can win with a healthy roster of Derozan, MKG, Gasol and CoJo I wasn't even going to bother mentioning how much trouble he'll go through to get his team to a level where he can tank because I find a lot objectionable about the trade even ignoring this fact, but for real, ending up a bottom five pick is going to mean shipping out a lot of players for less value than he gave up for them. This whole thing is just not good for Orlando.

Although im his assistant GM i dont like this one also...i would rather have a top 10 pick rather than bottom 10 as steve jobs said, also Copeland is suppose to be released (amnesty clause).

So is am I allowed to reject this trade since I am the GM of the Magics now? Since he already had accepted it and some TC had voted we probably should just see if this trade goes through or not.

It might be voided since Copeland has been amnestied.

I also reject. Orlando would have to rip apart his roster to tank effectively once Gasol and MKG come back for next year. Seems like a bad idea to swap a top 10 pick for a pick that's likely still going to be his this year, ~20 games of Meyers Leonard, and a late 1st.
