Committee Members:
Steve Jobs (Thunder GM)
Colin Lofton (Hornets GM)
Brown Cobb (Atlanta GM)
Justin Timberlake (Toronto GM)
Pistol Pete (Washington GM)
Alternates:
Brian Scalabrine (Toronto GM)
About the Court:
Our most liberal Justice, Brown Cobb IV almost always accepts trades. He is rather close with our next most liberal Justice, Justin Timberlake. It's been a long time coming, but the lobbying by his colleague, Brown Cobb and his shrewd ability to build his own team allowed him to be appointed to the trade committee.
Steve Jobs is our most conservative justice. Often being left with writing the dissenting opinion, he always harkens back to the fairness doctorine found in the rules section.
Pete Maravich is a newcomer to the court, but has shown the ability to go with both sides of the court, sometimes being more of a protectionist like Steve, but yet allowing some trades a more conservative Justice would never allow.
Colin Loftin is the swing vote on the court. Calm, cool, and collected, it often comes down to his vote to decide the verdict on the most controversial trades. He is best known for allowing the controversial Orlando-Atlanta deal go through, with calls to repeal the trade still existing within some regions of the league.
Regulations
There will be trade committee members. 3 of them must "accept" the trade for the trade to pass. They will make their decisions based on whether the trades conform to the trading regulations, and that there is no collusion, or no one is getting taken extreme advantage of. This is to preserve the viability of each franchise (so a rogue GM wont join and dismantle a team only to leave a month later).
TC members should always refrain from voting until the other GM 'accepts' the offer.
TC members will be rotated periodically.
