Current Rating: 52
RHJ is still sporting his initial rookie rating. While injuries derailed his season in a way that makes it impossible to say 52 is horribly underrated, he's definitely in need of some love in his ratings. He proved early on to be a very capable defender (something that makes him an important piece on 30/30 NBA Teams), and went on to back up that defensive hype by playing some very solid basketball despite limited games. Stats on the season: 5.8 pts / 5.3 rebs / 1.5 asts / 1.3 stls / 0.6 blks -- 45.7% FG / 71.2% FT
Due to the injuries leading to fewer games and less playing time in those games, I'll also point to some very intriguing Per 36 stats here: 9.8 pts / 9.0 rebs / 2.5 asts / 2.3 stls / 0.9 blks That's a wicked line for a guy who played 60% of his minutes at the two.
He posted an ORTG of 106 next to a DRTG of 104, both very respectable numbers for a rookie. In addition, his DRPM numbers are quite flattering: in comparison to Danny Green's 2.76 and Tony Allen's 2.38 (good for 1st and 2nd among SGs, RHJ's DRPM was a very impressive 2.12 (good for 3rd among SGs).
As a rookie, and one who didn't get to play as much as he should have due to injuries, I think it's safe to say he is putting up favorable stats and showing sustainable progression. I suspect RHJ will be an important part of both the Net's and D720 Thunder's future.

Just curious (not arguing one way or the other), where do you get that he played 60% of the time at SG? Nylon Calculus has him at playing 81.3% at SF.

Ah, I see. My guess is it's a difference in counting who's playing SG and who's playing SF when RHJ and Joe Johnson play together.
