Current rating: 60
Probably not a guy anyone expected to see in here... but he's been flying under the radar with a legitimately solid season for the Lakers.
15-16 Season Per Game Stats: 20.3 mpg / 7.2 pts / 4.3 rebs / 1.1 asts / 0.5 stls / 0.8 blks --- 54.9% FG / 84.5% FT
In addition to this being the lowest minutes played and minutes per game since the 09-10 season, this is Bass' first campaign since 08-09 to come entirely off the bench - so while his numbers look pretty pedestrian, he's actually producing quite well in his limited time...
Per 36 numbers of 12.7 pts / 7.6 rebs / 2.0 asts / 0.9 stls / 1.5 blks are at or near career highs across the board.
Per 100 possessions 17.7 pts / 10.7 rebs / 2.8 asts / 1.2 stls / 2.1 blks all very favorable in context of his whole career - the kicker... 127 ORtg : 111 DRtg (the Laker's team D was atrocious, which hurts his personal DRtg, but his Offensive Rating is 14 higher than the next highest season, and the Net Rtg of +16 is 6 higher than the previous high of +10 (10-11 season in Orlando).
PER is a career high 17.4. True Shooting % is a career high 61.9. 9.2 Ast% - career high. 1.2 Stl% - career high. 3.2 blk% - career high. 13.9 usg% - career low. 0.146 WS/48 ranks as his 3rd best season. BPM of 0.8 and VORP of 1.0... both career highs (0.8 BPM is his only positive BPM for his entire career!).
RPM stats: -0.05 ORPM (25th PF), 0.61 DRPM (55th PF), 0.56 RPM (28th PF), 3.14 RPM Wins (28th)... You guessed it - career highs all the way back to 13-14 (the earliest year on record for RPM).
The moral of the story is Brandon Bass just had a career year without anybody realizing it, and his rating should reflect that even if it's a tiny change.
