i go ingram. Simmons has enormous potential, but his passion for the game is not there. i see this as a future great rivalry

Ingram.. cause I think Simmons have high percentage of being a bust.. He's good at everything except shooting and that will be his downfall if he does not improve

Ben Simmons could easily turn into Blake griffin he could also be Lamar odom. I think he's closer to Odom.

I see the Lamar Odom thing over and over as his floor. I remember Odom differently than most people. He had demons but he had a good career. I think if he was in re-drafts he would average around #3.

Odom was a beast in college and kept getting called the next Magic Johnson. Odoms biggest issues coming out of college was his drug problem

I have feeling that Simmons ends up like Kwame Brown. Not a bad NBA player, but also never lives up the hype of number 1 pick. Instead of him being destroyed by Jordan's critique, it will be done by social media this time. Pressure to succeed will be huge.
Like Kwame, Simmons has dominated lesser athletic opponents in HS and college. Is excellent in certain areas, but also has very concerning weaknesses (who needs shooting in basketball anyways? ::) ). In NBA he just won't be dominating physically and smart defenses will just drop off him and give him the outside shot, go under every screen, etc..
Is he worth top 2 pick and can he became a superstar? For sure, if he works on his outside shot and post-game. Does he have the attitude and work ethic to do it after getting the nice contract for being number one pick and 200million worth of shoe/other deals, and when media is shitting on him after every bad shooting night... meh, not so sure about that.

You guys are overthinking this.
I agree 100% that there are flaws to Simmons' game and character that spell out a decent amount of bust potential. But I think you're over-analyzing him, and just slotting in the closest alternative as his replacement in Ingram, without placing the same scrutiny on Ingram. Ingram has just as much and probably more bust potential than Simmons, with a lower ceiling.

Ingram is probably closer to Derrick Williams than Kevin Durant. That's not to say that I think he'll be as bad a pick as Williams. I just don't see the Durant comparison at all other than he's long and he shoots 3s.

Wonder who has more bust potential. Simmons or Bender?, Sounds to me like Bender is an all-around potential bust. Like he looks like the typical late 1st round pick only that he is projected 4th. x_x

Porzingis got actual playing time before jumping to the NBA and his numbers were decent enough for a prospect.

If Porzingis hadn't had the season he had last year, Bender would be a mid/late 1st rounder.
I think he's got the biggest Bust potential.
I think Buddy Hield is the guy 3-4 years we'll look back and LOL at all the teams that passed on him because he's too old (see CJ McCollum, Steph Curry, Lillard, etc)

Kris Dunn is in my opinion gonna have the best career out of any of them. He's all around and mature. The only thing wrong is that he's a little older. Him and ingram are gonna be beasts. Heild does look very solid and could be very good in the future
