The #1 rule of not losing trades is to never trade the 1st and 2nd most valuable assets in the trade.

Seriously, the TC in this league needs to give a little more value to stars, even old ones. D Wade DID get stockwatched, he just had a great season. And if ORL want the chip Wade is a great piece.

agreed i actually like this deal now, at first it was a little too much with orlando giving teh picks and the younger guy, but now its fair, it maeks sense to looking at orlando, he has a great shot at teh ring

I'll accept.
Still believe Toronto is winning this and kind of surprised Orlando wasn't able to get something in addition after the previous rejects but oh well. I can easily see McCollum filling a role similar to Wade's within no time. Fingers crossed for Wade's health.

I like it. Wade has been on fire lately. Waiting to see what Paul-Wade backcourt can do.

Still bad for Orlando. Why not just stockwatch McCollum instead? He'd probably get a 4-5 point bump and if/when Wade were to get stockwatched (also he's currently a 73 not 75), I'd guess they'd end up being within a couple of points of each other. You'd get to keep the guy who's 10 years younger and the player that isn't clearly in decline.
I like Wade, he's an all-time great to me, but he's 34 and pretty obviously losing steam.

Huh that's weird. On the roster page it says 75. Could anyone confirm that just to be sure? Anyways that's a risk I'm willing to take for a ring next year.

Yeah I think the roster page just hasn't had the ratings updated in a while. I figured it probably didn't make a whole lot of difference, but just wanted to make everyone aware. This is from the latest league file:

There are other players with the rating not updated? Wish we can fix that.

There are other players with the rating not updated? Wish we can fix that. It doesn't get "not updated in awhile". I update them as I move their thread from in process to completed. There are a couple I probably missed though while moving multiple threads at the same time.

I still reject. Having a guy like McCollum that can still be a centerpiece for your team after all of your older players have regressed is going to be far more important than the TCs accepting this are acknowledging. Orlando still isn't at 100% after some of those Doc trades and this is just too close to franchise-ruining for me to feel comfortable.

I still reject. I believe McCollum is the better player that is still improving while Wade will only be regressing with a potentially unfavorable future contract. This would be a bailout for Toronto after going all in last season.

Sorry, I too thought BC was still on the TC and read his post and assumed he had accepted and that it already stood at 3 accepts and was passed. I reject as well, see above post for reasoning.
