New Orleans PelicansPG 68 Jrue Holiday $11,286,518 G 64 Avery Bradley $8,269,663 $8,808,989 for Memphis GrizzliesPF 64 Kristaps Porzingas $2,474,900 $2,581,500 $3,283,668 4,426,384GF 62 Nick Young $5,443,918 $5,668,667
Alright, trade breakdown. Kristaps is coming off Memphis Bench, and the jury is still out on whether he will be great. Memphis has been starting Jose Calderon & Nick Young, and while that's dandy and got them a 1st round upset, it certainly won't be effective next year (nick young 62?). After this trade Memphis' lineup is Jrue-Bradley-Melo-Alrdidge-Big Al The reason I take Nick Young is to make sure that Memphis has enough room to resign Big Al. Personally, I'm doing this because this is the type of shit Billy does. I couldn't stop tanking if I wanted to.

Accept. I have been very hesitant to move my prize rookie, but this trade is EXACTLY what my team needs. Big AL should be impressed with the talent I acquire in this trade and return to a team at full strength for the whole season. This gives me a great shot at an even deeper playoff run.

Just ran a test simulation giving Jrue + Bradley to Memphis and giving me kristaps. Memphis goes 58-24 grabbing the 3rd seed in the west. 6th ranked team in the power rankings.

I agree with John here. Billy needs to add a pick or so. I like it tho, this is definitely what Memphis needs to push them from a barely playoff team, to a front runner in the West.
Reject, but keep at it!

Billy it takes like 2 seconds to figure out that sim is whack. OKC as #1 is not entirely improbable but 69 wins is probably a stretch. Also Charlotte and Orlando are not bottom 5 teams.

None of the 'queued' trades have been processed yet. Nor injured players re added. This is end of season roster with this trade processed, and 2 rookies.

Reject, but keep at it! Both of these players are borderline all stars this year with all-star ceilings, both come with bird rights, Bradley had a career year making the 1st All Defensive team this year, and Jrue was healthy all year and playing awesome until he got elbowed in the eye. I'm already giving up more than Kristaps is worth at this point in time, and his ceiling isnt higher than these guys ceilings combined in the future. I have no clue how you guys think I wouldn't be giving up enough. There's no way I'd add anything else to this deal.

Jrue is at his ceiling what he is ranked now. No way he'll ever be all-star caliber anymore. Bradley's ceiling is also borderline all-star. Porzingis might be in MVP discussions in 3-4 years.

I strongly disagree with all 3 assessments, but am hopeful for the last one. What makes you think Jrue can't return to All Star form? He looked fucking great last year... PG is just stupid deep in the West. He would be the best perimeter defender on most teams in the league, and is efficient on offense, great court vision... his only knock is his health.

Whatever, if 2 borderline all-stars with all star ceilings aren't enough for a guy that got 3 months of ESPN hype, I don't know what I should be doing. This trade literally devastates my team, I challenge someone to offer memphis a deal that's better for his team than this one.

I just thought he's selling Porzingis a bit short, that's all. There's still 3 other TC members that can accept it too

He Def could be mvp sometime,if he continues to improve. Thing is I don't have peak melo, aldridge, jefferson(?), in 3 years. Besides that, kristaps is not worth more than this, I don't believe. Certainly not with nick 'please don't take back my low rider yoy gave me iggy' young included.

Based on the recent salary dumps, I wouldn't be too worried about you being able to unload Young. Have seen worse contracts being moved for cheap.

Anybody that you think could be MVP someday is worth more than this, and worth keeping around whether or not you have Melo/Aldridge/Jefferson around him when he's ready to be MVP caliber. I actually think Jrue is amazing and very underrated, probably capable of reaching All-Star levels again if he can get/stay healthy for a long period of time... but seeing your rationale here I know for sure you're not trading Porzingis with the right intentions or valuing him correctly. I reject.

I realize salary dumps aren't too difficult to do, learned that last year. But BK seemed to have a plan.
If kristaps has more value to everyone than this trade so be it, I'm not going to take any more from the pelicans though.
