I accept. I shed a ton of salary, and while in my heart these guys are worth a little more than this, I also want to keep in mind that I got Valanciunas and a boat load of picks for Wade + Dirk, and now I'm turning those guys into more picks. So, I like that. Also, I need to clear roster spots for my 100000 rookies this year. I intend on tanking so I'll be glad these good players are outta town. Good dealing, Allan!

I accept. Under the new cap, I think JV and Rondo will both be under slight value contracts, and it's unlikely that FAs this offseason will garner any value contracts. This does remove the possibility of me getting two max players this offseason. But, under pretense that I can retain KD, other max players aren't super viable. The AD's will be matched. Similarly for Lillard. With Horford, I'd pretty much be bringing back the same team and that didn't really work. Conley would be too much invested into one position, with Kemba already there. Batum is redundant with KD. Whiteside and Love could work, but I'd rather the sure thing of a trade than the chance to grab one of them. And for many of the guys I just listed, a max may not be a value contract. Plus I get two starter level (and Rondo won't be starter for me), potentially all-star level, players instead of just the one I would get with an extra max.
Furthermore, improving my team prior to free agency likely increases my odds of retaining KD, for whom I should still have room. That's my number one priority, so hopefully KD is paying attention.
Edit: Ugh, realized I was using 92MM projection for KD's max (27.6), not 94 (28.2). I'm about $430,000 off for room for KD's max. Still cool with this. There's a chance the cap is >94M, in which case I do have max. (Edit 2: or if Pierce or Manu retire. Please Paul?) Otherwise, I'll risk KD refusing over half a mil. That said, you can now get Tyus Jones for a late first/early second.

On the surface this would seem like a shit deal for Toronto, but I forsee JV opting out next year, this is basically a 1 yr rental on JV and rondo for the knicks. I am undecided for now, will wait to cast vote

For the record, with the way Toronto is trending as a team, JV is definitely going to opt the fuck out if we don't ship him.

Hmmm, I'm going to accept. I think there might be a decent chance they keep their contract if the Knicks do well this season. Which seems likely if Allan keeps this up. Even if they do opt out, this is still pretty good value for 2 starting quality players for the year. I think KD is paying attention and liking what he's seeing.

I don't mind this deal since neither contract has huge value. I'd like to remind everyone that Allan stole Kemba Walker for Rondo though. He essentially got Kemba Rondo & JV for an 18 pick. Can't reject because I hated the other deal though.

I'll accept as well, hated the trade at first but the options really do make it a bit different... I don't honestly think that both Rondo and Jonas will opt out but they could so that evens the trade out a little bit...
That said, Pete's point has been something that was on my mind since the second I saw the trade and I'm just not sure I should allow someone to steal two solid players for such little value, especially when one of them yielded Allan a star player so recently. Tanking is fine, but going from contending to tanking so quickly and not pursuing realistic value at any point along the way seems to be leading to some questionable trades here.

I'm going to reject. One or both of them opting in next year swings this way too far in the Knicks favor. If the both opt out after next year I'm still not sure a future first and two seconds are enough. It's probably close enough in that scenario, but what if one or both of them opt in?

my vote doesn't matter but i was close to rejecting this as well. Allan stands to gain two starters for a 1st and a 2nd. imo, even one year of rondo is worth a late first like Allan's and JoVal should demand at least two 1st rnds with the PO that he could end up accepting.

Yeah, gonna actually switch my vote to a reject as well. It's just too much for too little.

Maybe it's just me, but on a fundamental level I think that TC ought to be able to change their votes, especially because I feel like the TC is extra rushed to make decisions during the draft

But if I can't change my vote once there are three accepts, I understand. Forces the final accepting TC to be more wary of their decisions, which clearly I wasn't.

Since it came so late and other actions have been taken post-accept, I'll just let my initial accept stand Usually I am more sure of my decision, so it hasn't been a problem, but I'll keep in mind for the future that I should be doubly sure when I make a decision...

If you were the first TC to stop by and then change you're vote, it's fine. But of course the trade was technically "passed" at that point I feel like voting has closed and the rest of the posts are comment only :)
