Portland sends: pick 57 (2016) Milwaukee sends: 58 Ty Lawson $13,213,482 52 Georgios Papagiannis $1,573,500 $1,644,300 $1,715,100 $2,630,963 $3,696,504
Salary dump of Lawson opens up enough cap for max contracts for Milwaukee. Greek rookie center Papagiannis is little more compensation than is given typically for salary dumps, so I'll give 2nd round pick from my side to even the value.

Accepted! I hope you guys dont take this as a noob move. With Lawson decreased in ratings, he'll be average at best as a starting point guard. He'll also be too expensive to run the offence of my bench unit. Im better off with a huge capspace and take a risk for the big fishes in this years FA. Im planning for a deep playoff run and Im sure I can find a competent point guard for my bench thats not worth $13m.

I think MIL could have moved Lawson for less if he was patient. This isn't a reject for me though.
I accept

Reject for me. Trading a lottery pick for cap relief on a contract that will be expiring this coming year is too much for me.
Atlanta recently moved Deron Williams' 22M contract and Bargnani for two future seconds.

Agree that Lawson is a negative asset, disagree with the concept that adding Papagiannis to Lawson is the only way to move his contract. Milwaukee would be much better off stretching or amnesty that contract if they're so desperate to get cap relief. Throwing in a rookie that should be pretty good before they even have a chance to play a minute just isn't worth it. A month from today someone who is underperforming and knows they have a max free agent to pay will give up a decent amount to pick up an expiring like Lawson.
Reject for me.

Reject for me as well. A lot less has been given for a salary dump before.

Yeah like Steve pointed out, why not use the amnesty clause for the new owners?

Just feels like I can use my amnesty better in the future. I also have enough big men already and I dont plan to pay someone 1.5m just to sit in my bench. But theres also the possibility of him being good, im just being greedy to win now. Anyway thank you for your time guys! Will have to think some more ways to dump lawson.

I think you can only use it within the first week or two of becoming GM.
