76ers Send: ($9,065,490 in salaries sent) 61 Josh McRoberts $5,782,450 $6,021,175 58 Doug McDermott $2,483,040 $3,294,994 $4,510,84749 Byron Mullens $800,000 2020 1st Round Pick Heat Send: ($11,131,368 in salaries sent) 66 Andre Iguodala $11,131,368 From my perspective this is a straight up trade 2020 1st for Igoudala. Andre helps us win right now, and with our salary the way the it is we aren't going to be able to get many if any tier 2 FAs to sign for $2,000,000 a year to chase a ring, so this is the next best thing. With a solid core of Conley, Harden, Reddick, Kanter and Zach Randolph adding Igoudala IMO makes us a legit threat for the conference finals again. This is a gamble because Iggy can bolt after this year, but we think the year of winning will allow us to secure him at the end of the season. The McRoberts/McDermott/Mullens combo weren't going to play much for me anyway. My salaries before trade $90,335,455 My salaries after trade $92,401,333 Heat Salary before trade $50,441,363 Heat Salary after trade $48,375,485 Kylo Ren

In fact, Doug McDermott will start at SF for us unless we add someone else. The way I look at it, Iggy for a 2020 1st constitutes an even deal and adding McDermott and McRoberts, especially the former since I like him so much, is bonus value. Honestly, I am sure some contender will give me a 2nd round pick for McRoberts after FA ends so I am fired up about this deal if you cannot tell. We also gain a little extra cap space to help us sign some younger players. Player agents, please keep in mind that Josh McRoberts will never put on a Heat uniform. The Miami Heat Organization would also like to thank Andre Iguodala for his commitment to the organization and wish him the best of luck with Mr. Gold and the Philadelphia 76ers! Also, I enjoyed negotiating with the 76ers GM, Ari Gold. May the darkside approve of this trade!

Eh... It's a bit too much for Andre... Getting his bird rights helps for sure, but considering McRoberts might be able to net you a 1st with an appropriate amount of patience, this could be considered 3 firsts for an expiring. Especially with McDermott, who isn't world-changing talent, but still a very solid young player, on top of the first, I just think it's giving up too much with the "justification" that you weren't planning on keeping them anyway, which is a bad way to approach trading because losing value on any deal means you have less to offer in the future. Also, average starters and good depth is a much better formula for winning championships than great starters and poor depth. Iggy would be a big addition for Philly, but I don't necessarily buy that's it's making them more competitive. Thus...
I don't expect my vote to change things, but I'm going to reject here. Just overall think the value headed to Miami is greater than one year of Iggy by too much.

I am not wanting to get into a big fight with you or anything but I SERIOUSLY doubt Josh McRoberts could net a 1st round pick by himself, just sayin'!

Reject for me as well. You said it yourself, Kylo, that the 2020 1st would be fair for Iggy. Adding in McDermott and McBob is too much

Lol, I said "might be able to net you a 1st with an appropriate amount of patience"... I'm not sure how that could be inflammatory but I guess it is what it is. McRoberts is a solid stretch big and he's definitely worth more than a single 2nd so no matter how you spin it this deal is a bit lopsided.

I would've accepted this. Think he's selling a bit short on Mcdermott, but the rest is reasonable enough.
