Portland trades:
TOR 2017 2nd round pick TOR 2018 2nd round pick
Toronto trades:
BOS 2020 1st round pick (top 3 protected)
I accept. I have enough early 2nd round picks for next two drafts (my own + 2xMIA), so don't need Toronto's picks although they are almost like late 1st. Not expecting that the Boston pick is much better than somewhere in 20s if they can resign Westbrook, but 2020 still far away and lot could happen. Maybe I get lucky and they regress and need to start rebuilding in few years.

I accept. That BOS pick could move up the board in the next few seasons, but my bet is that it's not higher than 20, and that's in a few years. I think having the two very high second rounders in the next two years is more likely to accelerate my rebuild. And, it will make it MUCH easier to trade into the first round if I have high seconds, right now I've mostly got late or middle round picks.
Also, REALLY like some guys who could go in that 30-35 range this year. I know it's not cool to trade firsts for seconds but I think it's worth it here. And, I've been pretty dilligent about scouting the second round, and like how my rebuild is shaping up with second rounders already.

And before anyone asks, IF I make all my picks this year, I'm going to wait until the end of the regular season next season to decide who to cut, sell off, or sign. The beauty of second rounders!

Reject for me. The only way this trade isn't a definite loss for Toronto is if that Boston pick ends up in the late 20's. And Boston's team is mostly old guys with the exception of Russ. Wade, Dirk, Millsap, and Big Al are all on the wrong side of 30 and 4 years is a long ways away.
I'm not saying that Boston can't or won't end up one of the top teams for that year, but I think there's a significant possibility that they aren't. It'd be one thing if Toronto could tack on lottery protection. But without that I think there's just too big a chance it ends up being a huge mismatch.

This one didn't really age well except for the fact that the upcoming draft isn't really good, lol.
