Boston Celtics Trade: PF 65 Terrence Jones - $1,618,680 - $2,489,529 - $3,532,642 ($1,618,680)
Brooklyn Nets Trade: C 60 Steven Adams - $2,184,960 - $2,279,040 - $3,140,517 - $4,321,351 ($2,184,960)
I accept this trade. I need a back up center more than I need a backup forward. Jones is a little more developed than Adams is, but he has been in the year for a extra year and is also 2 years older than Jones. I believe that in his time that Adams will develop into a quality rebounder and a good scorer. He does not have the flash that Jones has, but he does have the muscle and grit which is what I'm looking for.

Terrence Jones has the higher rating and the higher ceiling of the two, and he's on a cheaper contract. So naturally, I don't love this trade... but neither team is drastically improved or worsened by the deal, and the positional swap is indeed beneficial to both of you.
I accept.
MCW, Ross, Wiggins, Jones, and Embiid is going to be a hell of a starting 5 in a few years though.

I accepted this trade as I need a solid PF which currently I am lacking. Yes, Jones has better rating currently but we all know that Adams is going to improve in no time.

I don't see Adams improving significantly, to be honest, and Jones in my opinion has a much higher ceiling as well.

Definitely think it's practically a wash or I wouldn't have accepted... Adams is still basically just a defensive piece for the Thunder and won't ever have a real chance to branch out while on a team with KD, Russ, and Ibaka. Jones is similarly under the shadow of Harden and Dwight, but I think he has the better chance of being a top scoring option on a lesser team just based on athleticism. Not super important either way. They're both worth having and the swap makes sense for both sides.
