D-Rose is $21,323,252 for this year. LAC salary is 87,215,486 after this trade under salary.
I accept this trade as this will improve my team this year gaining D-Rose. The Houston pick will be a late 1st round pick so it is worth it to me to improve my team this year.

From the thread above this one...
'Trade submissions should contain the following:
Each players total salaries for every season remaining on their contract, written in the full six figures ($000,000).
Each players rating.
The total salary that is leaving each team, written in six figures ($000,000)
The projected salary total of each team, given that the trade is successful.'

Personally I was waiting to see some reasoning from LAC first. Not sure Rose makes sense with the team at all and that first, while underwhelming, could be really useful to them.

My thought was improving my team this year so its better going forward. Since i do not have my own first round pick adding D-Rose now would improve my team

Have you done any sims to check this? I feel like DRose isn't going to change much and he likely won't resign. So while not owning your pick sucks, giving away a 1st rounder (even if it's a low one) might be worse. The previous owner traded for that 1st because he accepted the fact your pick this year will be good no matter what, but at least having 1 is better than none?

Man TC crazy in here, "I don't like it" is really a reason to veto? Shouldnt veto only be for franchise ruining moves or moves that ruin league balance?

I think TC is just extra careful because it's the Clippers. No picks, not really that much assets. Franchise has been already close to ruined by previous GMs. I don't think that it's smart to actually give a first rounder (even late) for a player like Rose since LAC need to have a long rebuild, and to resign him next offseason LAC probably needs to overpay to keep him. In it self late 1st for Rose is a ok value, but it's imo a very bad trade for LAC. Glad I'm not in TC

Well put Theodore. We also have to do our best to not make these teams such a disaster that new owners don't want them. Trading a one yr deal for a 1st rounder with 5+ yrs of team control is bad. The Clippers have no youth and really need something. Also, it's really weird that both teams are in the same situation. I think with a new owner like Elton and the condition the Clippers are in, a trade that is this near sighted is worth a reject for me.
If it was a competitive team trading to Dallas like this I would understand. But both teams are in the same position (Clippers arguably in a worse situation) so it makes no sense.

Sorry guys but I have to reject.. Drose is injury prone and could be gone many games.. And for a rental only.. He could sign him in the off season. that pick will be important for them or they could try to trade it for a healthy better player..
