Hezonja A- Rozier D Grant B+ I like Hezonja.. he could be a future star although he is very coky but he backs it up with his shooting and slashing.. he reminds me of Gallinari before his injury or a more improved Rudy Fernandez.. Rozier for me is a very dumb pick for the Celtics.. He is an average player but we'll never know what will happen he maybe the next Avery Bradley Grant is also very good.. I wanted him to be picked by Pacers before the draft and he is showing that he can be a fit to the triangle system

Okafor had a hard time scoring in the paint if Porzingis is in the game.. I was shocked because I thought with his thin body he is weak and can be easily pushed off but he didn't..

what makes you think porzingis is a+ aj? just curious what you've seen, ive been busy with school and missed out. :/ he has been impressive so far in the summer league, he shoots well, great post playmaking skills showing why he is compared to pau gasol, and can defend the paint he blocked jahlil okafor, the best post player right now in the summer league 3 times yesterday, he is performing well even with a hip injury that shows he is really good.. lets just hope he can still perform well in the real nba, for now this evaluation grades are based on the summer league

I thought he could do better

Zach LaVine improved a lot.. I think he is not a PG but a SG.. Clarkson is stellar as ever.. He's also SG not a PG.. Marcus Smart totally improved also if he keeps this up then he may start on the Celtics.. I don't know but I think he is also not a PG.. he's more of a combo guard..
based on the Summer league here are they're ranking Jordan Clarkson Marcus Smart Zach LaVine

Like what everyone else mentioned - don't take summer league too seriously.
It is great getting a glimpse of the future of the NBA. Stanley Johnson really impressed me, because I originally thought the guy was going to be shit. ;)

Muiday is looking like a beast as well. I see the Lakers regretting their decision in a few years - or months?

Muiday is looking like a beast as well. I see the Lakers regretting their decision in a few years - or months? lakers are now regretting it especially because they passed up on a generational talent in okafor, an athletic pg who was underrated for playing in china but looks like he will be the top prospect in this draft class.. i can understand passing up on porzingis and winslow and i admit even i myself believed at some point that russell is a top 5 pick but still i never thought he will be picked before okafor and mudiay.. it turned out russell was really overhyped by the scouts and we were all wrong..so sad for lakers nation im losing hope hehe good thing there is still clarkson who has potential..

Russell plays team basketball summer league is just aau shit i agree..or maybe he is scared to shoot because he will be crticized again for missing a ton of shots..remember he said in pre draft interviews that he is similar to steph curry..then 4 games into the summer league we saw that he isnt even close to steph in terms of shooting, it turns out he is a poor shooter after all..if he is a poor shooter what the hell can he do on the offensive side, he is too slow and cannot slash through the basket, unlike mudiay who slices every defender on his way with his explosiveness.. the only thing i saw positive from russell's game is his passing instincts, he occasionally makes passes that his teammates were sometimes not anticipating because they are one step behind russell's thinking, thats the only thing i cant criticize from him, but overall his summer league performance is a huge disappointment i hope he can recover and be a better player in regular season or else he will get his ass traded hehe

Cauley-Stein - C+ for me. Okafor still needs to work, he doesn't bang his body much when doing post moves so he's B- for me . Winslow is still finding his identity as a NBa player. Stanley Johnson is the same as KCP for me but he showed his talent this summer league unlike KCP so A-. Russell is D, if he can keep up with Kobe's challenge, he will be a great player. But the person who really impressed me is Myles Turner! I projected him last season as top 3.

I don't understand the Russel hate. Summer league literally has nothing to do with anything a player does in their career. You over simplifying this whole situation. Read this article from SB Nation. D'Angelo Russel is extremely competitive and is struggling. That doesn't mean he will be a bust. I live in Portland and was able to watch him in his first NCAA Tournament game where he looked like he was on another level than everyone else on the floor. He was so far ahead of everyone else and took over the game to lead Ohio State to the win. Plenty of NBA All Stars have struggled in the summer league and many nobody's flourished. Tim Duncan was put to shame by Jermaine O'Neal and Greg fucking Ostertag. Jerryd Bayless, Josh Selby (co-MVP with Dame), Randy Foye and Nate Robinson were summer league MVP. You are telling me these dudes are awesome? It is hard to try and find past summer league shit, but someone else struggled in summer league was Draymond Green. Russel will have a fine career, so calm down on the hate. Give him some practice time with his actual team before you throw all these negative judgments out.

I've been trying to say this since the first day of the Laker's summer league games, and no one would listen to me. I get that it's interesting to debate how a player will perform over his entire career based on summer league performance, but it's nowhere near indicative of a player's potential over his entire career. Summer league is basically useless in evaluating NBA prospects.
