Hmm.. I always thought it's same for both. billy ? Technically we don't have "sign and trades," but the way that our qualifying offers are extended automatically and any contract can be matched makes it rather silly to ban sign and trades. The entire reason they don't exist for UFAs is that as a league we can't control them and thus we try to avoid collusion between player agents and GMs by taking sign and trades out of the equation. For RFAs on the other hand, it's virtually impossible for collusion to happen between PAs and GMs because the controlling GM literally cannot lose out on the player as long as they want them back. Thus, RFAs are tradable even after their rookie contract has expired, and they can be traded immediately after signing their first new deal because there is no reason to stop that from happening.
