Cleveland Cavaliers trade: SG (62) Wesley Matthews $14,000,000 $12,600,000 $12,600,000 $11,340,0002017 Chicago Bulls 2nd - #40 2019 Cleveland Cavaliers 2nd Brian Scalabrine trade: 2017 Sacramento Kings 2nd - #47 I accept. I have some decisions to make in the coming off-season and part of that is clearing some cap. I was unaware until Brian told me that teams in the playoffs are able to make trades so I'm looking to be active. I lose 7 draft spots and give up a future 2nd, but the extra cap will be helpful in trying to retain some of my UFA's

Accept. Love this trade. Explanation later. Basically I think Wes might rehab his value, and I gain a second and seven spots. And, there's a chance that I can flip Wes later, and if I can't I don't lose much from having him.

I accept this trade, helps Cleveland free a lot of capspace that he needs. In return, Toronto gets all the 2nd round picks since that's his drug. Wes Matt would probably be a 60 or high 50 who would still have the 3 pt attribute so he's useful at that price.

If I were the Cavs, I'd probably just operate over the cap, taking on an MLE guy, picks, and mins, and then make any necessary moves in the trade market. They are a contender. But if they want to find a guy in free agency, that's fine.
I accept.

Accept. I think the contract can be negative asset in few years so getting an extra pick seems reasonable. Maybe Toronto can still flip it further to assets if Wes starts the season well

Can Cleveland trade if they're still in the playoffs? Their playoff roster is set and cannot be changed, but it is separate from their working roster for the offseason. Since IRL the offseason wouldn't have started until the playoffs end, we aren't going to penalize a team from making moves based on their remaining playoff games. Think of the "playoff roster" as the players in the sim engine, and their offseason roster is what is on the roster page.
