We will have round 2 of the fantasy draft next Saturday 6/13/2015 from 10:50am-5:00pm EST. Each person will get 10 minutes to make their pick, the order will be randomized. If we don't have 30 GMs by 6/13/2015, we will postpone the draft one week. If you have any issues with this time let me know, if you dont make your pick autodraft will happen and you will take the highest rated player on the board, unless you want to pm me a big board and then i'll take the players in that order. The contracts the players will have will be their current real life NBA contract according to www.spotrac.comExample: If you draft Marc Gasol, he only has one year on his IRL contract (2014: $15,829,688), so you will only get him for one year. You will not get his Bird Rights (that means you can't go over the Salary Cap to sign him). So take into a players contract AND skills when you draft :) RatingsRatings will stay what they are now (ratings will be revealed closer to draft day in an Available Players post), but after the first season we will have a Ratings forum where GMs may vote on player ratings, there will be up to one re rate of a player per year, and anyone can post a thread of a player they think is rated wrong. More revealed on ratings later.

Draft order will be randomized using www.draftordergenerator.com/ and posted here after the last 3 teams are claimed. I will have the website I use send out emails to a few other members when I do it so the order can be confirmed by multiple people.

1. It will be a Serpentine Draft. Meaning the pick #1 in round 1 will be pick #30 in round 2. 2. The order will be random. 3. Their will be a total of 12 rounds to be done. 4. For the first 10 rounds, it will be done per day basis so Round 1 is day 1 and etc. For the round 11 and 12, it will be done in one day. 5. We will copy the contract of the players beginning from 2014-2015 in real life. We will use this site as our main source. Spotrac.com- HOW TO DEAL WITH THE TEAM OPTIONS AND ETC.?The QUALIFYING OFFER will remain as it is. The Qualifying offer indicates that the player is a Restricted Free Agent. All the others (Team Option, Player Option, Unguaranteed) will be turn to TEAM OPTION. 6. Contract Salary Color Code Qualifying Offer Team Option 7. Bird's Right will only be applicable for contracts of three years. So those with two years contract like Kevin Durant and etc. are not Bird's right contract so you will not have any advantage during their Free Agency. Take note about that 8. If the player has currently no contract, the contract will be: 58 or more rating: 2 years contract of $2,000,000 58 below: 2 years contract of $1,000,000 9. 10 minutes per turn! If you're going to miss a round just PM me a list of 5-6 players you would like with that pick and I'll pick one of them for you when your pick gets there, if they are taken or you dont pm me a list ill take the highest rated player

Just to be clear, what is the condition of the contract if the rating is exactly 58?
Statement above says contract is $2,000,000 for 2 years if the rating is 58 and above, and $1,000,000 for two years if the rating is 58 below.

OK, so I understand that the cap's $63mil (I also read the particulars re: 200% hard cap, no Bird's Rights & grandfathering in salaries) but, exactly just how high can our team's payroll be come the end of the draft please?

I would like to know this as well. Another thing I would like to note: 10 min per pick is awfully short. I get we don't want this draft lasting a month, but we also need to understand some people may be away from their computer for a moment or two, especially on a Saturday. Like those with kids, or a family. I'm not talking an hour limit, but just some lee-way in the 10 min window. Does that make sense? Also, we start with our own draft picks right? Example, Philly doesn't have a whole bunch in the future and Boston doesn't own all of Brooklyn's till infinity.

As you know it's going to be impossible to find a time that 30 people all around the globe are free at the same time so this is the best we could do. Just pm me 7-8 players you'd want in the order you want them. It shouldn't be too tough since we are only doing one round a day so you should be able to have a pretty good idea of who will be available during your pick. And yes every team has one first round and one second round draft pick for every year. Maybe for other rounds we can stretch the time out a little longer but for the first round just plan to be there during your 10 minute window or send me a message of who you want.

Your payroll can literally be anything for this first season, so draft whoever you want. You will be grandfathered in. However if you are over the cap you wont be able to sign anyone in free agency during the regular season except with the MLE and minimum contracts. However for the next year 2015-2016 D720 season, your team will have to be under the hard cap.

So, I think this will work out just fine IF we think about the in draft in a slightly different way than we normally do...
It obviously ain't gonna be a classic scenario where everyone just sits down & goes for it.
This is more like we have an appointment to keep.
The draft starts Saturday at noon & there are 10 min blocks we've all been assigned to draft in ahead of time.
For example, I'm the 9th pick & so I *know* that I have to be online by 1:30pm & make my pick by 1:40pm latest. (I'll most likely get here 5/10 min early to see what's up though.)
If you don't think you can make your appointment, just PM Billy King a list of enough players to ensure you won't get an auto-drafted pick. (eg. If you're up in 6 picks but, have your kid's soccer game in an hour, just send the next 7 guys you want to Mr. King.)
In the end, we can just set a reminder on our phones for 12:00pm + (Our pick # x 10 mins)
Edit: I know this will take much longer but, I think it'll ensure no one gets stiffed on their picks.
Edit 2: Let's just create a list of team names & their draft time each day. Easy enough, right?

Or does the clock start after the pick is made and runs out ten minutes later?

Times are slotted so people don't have to stay for the whole round :) if someone picks early then the next person has extra time! you can make your pick as soon as the person before you goes but auto draft won't pick for you until your slotted time is up.

If we still have round one picks to do they will go backwards, with pick #30 being at 11:50-12:00, #29 11:40-11:50, etc
