Otto Porter has decided to change representation. So, if you had previously sent in a pitch for Otto, please re-send it to his new agent, Theodore Duncan . We will then be able to process the signing by tomorrow morning at the latest. If Scal shows up in the meantime, it'll happen asap. We'll probably also set the deadlines in the schedule back to accommodate this. Sorry guys!

Does it have to be the same offer or can we change it?

No one now. Scal has all the offers and we will decide when he pushes them to committee.

Though if you did send one to Scal, still send it to Theodore Duncan as well. Just in case..

Realistically, this offer sheet signing shouldn't be possible. The tier 1 RFAs were all supposed to close at the same time and Billy couldn't afford a max for both Porter and Adams. I think that should be addressed.

I'll match. Need a good, young player as part of my core.

The only reason NOP was able to get Porter to sign their offer sheet is because the deadline wasn't met and Adams had been matched by the time Porter was choosing. I think either Porter's or Steven Adam's decision should have reflected that NOP couldn't have gotten both of them to sign offer sheets. Literally has nothing to do with me having sent an offer for Otto, I just think for the sake of realism, the PA votes should have reflected that whichever RFA Billy messaged first would have been the only one that could have him as a finalist for the vote.

It's just not the case that the RFAs all agree to offer sheets at the same time. The PAs can't all vote immediately and simultaneously. It's possible that a RFA signs an offer sheet and it's matched before another RFA is voted on. This case, thanks to Scal being MIA, was extreme, but that's just how it worked out. (Note that the "first messaged" priority is for winning the RFA, not being a finalist for one) Regardless, we need to get Porter done so the free agency can move. Whether it was NOP or someone else, Porter would have signed a max offer sheet and Milt would have matched. The end result is the same, and we can now move on.

No harm done in this case because both Indiana and Minnesota matched, but what would happen in the case one team signed two offer sheets, could only match one, and both were not matched? What would happen to that second RFA?

Can't happen. If they have one offer sheet signed, and the signing of the second will take them over the cap, then the second cannot be signed. But timing can work out. If the first one is matched before the second one decides, then the second one now can sign.

Right, so what happens to that second RFA who signed the offersheet, was not matched by their incumbent team, but cannot sign with the new team because they are over the cap with the first RFA?

They couldn't have signed the offer sheet in the first place.

This is not realistic. If 2 players want to sign an offer sheet with one team and there is not enough money, the gm should be asked to pick one. Takes longer but it is realistic.
