Following the WAS - TOR trade, Raptors waive and stretch Noah.

Brian ScalabrineI always wonder why you thought it was a good idea to stretch Noah and Leonard. You still got to pay them $12,402,779 in each of the next 8 seasons (after this one). I would say your team has a bright future ahead if it wasn't for this. :-S

I would say your team has a bright future ahead if it wasn't for this. :-S In retrospect, I shouldn't have stretch BOTH of them, that's true. But overall I didn't want to wait out their original contracts, and didn't want to have to give up major assets to get rid of them. I think after this draft is when I'll start exploring if I can ditch these contracts by sending them to buyout destinations--because then I'll be able to decipher which assets I can afford to give to get rid of them. But, even as is, I can pretty easily create a max contract slot. And I've got enough high potential guys (Lauri, Kuz, picks 1 or 2 and 9) combined with starter level youngsters that one true super star might be all it takes to get us in the middle of the playoffs. Internal development + good drafting + one excellent signing would put us in the same (potentially better) boat as WAS was in this year.
