Billy is winning this trade to a mind-boggling degree. Lavine might be injury prone, but he's primed to be the Bulls go-to guy through a rebuild and I can't fathom him falling short of a 68 rating at some point in the relatively-near future. That combined with Carmelo, who has a few more years at or above that level gives Billy two great starters (possibly one future star), a soon-to-be elite wing defender, and a decent prospect for the price of one star and a very mediocre fringe starter. I wouldn't necessarily say I feel like this trade puts Memphis into dangerous territory for becoming non-viable, since they'll have Blake and Wall left on the team, but depending on the outcome of their 17-18 season, it could be realistic to see one or both of them move in free agency and things start to look much much worse. Very tempted to reject but I'll wait for other view points first.

Personally I hate this for the Pelicans but if the Commish wants to trade the best PG in the NBA for trash in comparison, who am I to stop him? I'll just pretend I understand his master plan because he's been doing this alot longer than I have so I'd imagine he knows what he's doing. ACCEPT.

Billys getting a great haul for Wall, but I hate RHJ and Jarett Allen. Lavine may have lost a step after tearing his ACL but we dont know yet and Melo is 1 or 2 years from a decent decrease. It also doesnt make Memphis a title contender and hes giving up so much for Wall. But both teams are still viable, accept

I'll accept this as well however as Billy has more than enough assets to stay afloat if this turns bad.
Grizzlies obviously kill it here

I accept. This seems bad for Billy, but even the question of viability is moot. If the commissioner leaves, it doesn't even matter at that point whether his team is viable or not, since the league is likely already dead. (Plus, his team is still plenty viable)

Hate it for the Pels. RHJ is crap. Melo won't make it to the allstar team this year and will not be +70 rated in playoffs time. So it all depends on Lavine becoming a star. Not so high on that personally.
Accept nevertheless

I want to reject, but its not franchise ruining, so I accept. It does, in fact, set back the Pelicans in my opinion. This is similar to the bulls return for Butler, maybe a little better. Melo isnt a true 71. RHJ is awful, Allen has an injured hip, Lavine has a torn acl. I think Billy could have gotten a better rookie, and a better star for Wall.

Since I've been marking "Days" instead of dates in the sim this year, the Dec. 15th model won't work. I looked up Dec 15th in the NBA and it looked like most teams had played ~29 games at that time. This trade (and any other trade that would involve a player signed in FA) will process once half the teams in 720 have surpassed 29 games. My estimate is ~Day 60.

what's you're opinion on this trade now? I think if Allen becomes a starting center for the nets for the next 5-10 years then I think you won

Correct me if my score keeping is wrong: John Wall + Mo Heartless For Carmelo (what did you do with him)? Justise Winslow Luke Kennard RHJ Jarrett Allen MIN ‘20 1st Still should have kept Wall, but it could be worse.
