This is an illegal DC (you need to start your best players), and I've decided you're "tanking" which means I'm setting your DC to auto-sort, unless you wanna make another submission.

I would like to develop a lineup together, but have no control over that apparently. I should just retire until the offseason I guess? What's the point? Also, "best players", eh? I actually strongly feel my best players are starting, though they may not have the highest ratings just yet.

Jaren Jackson is the only one on this roster that matters and he’s starting

You can play this game with me I guess, but if you really think your best players are starting then put a rebuild request in for the incorrectly rated players and get the ratings right. Im sure you know exactly why this rule is in place, had to do something about 6-7 teams benching their highest rated players to lose all their games. Rather than make judgement calls like I have, I’m just gonna autosort the tanking teams rosters. Not all tankers rosters have been auto sorted, Brian in Milwaukee built a lineup that is putting his best foot forward and it was put in.

Yes but Milwaukee does not own its 1st this year. but assuming he does, Mamba should be able to start Trae Young over Tim Frazier if he wants even if Trae has a lower overall. I mean, bad teams only illusion in the near future is nothing but seeing their young players play and possibly making a rookie team and stuff. billy Just look in your heart and remember those glory tanking days with the Jazz. Nothing would make you happier than seeing rookie Mudiay miss 10 shots a game.

So setting your DC and seeing the results of the initial rookie builds of your late 1st rounders is why you're around? More like, you're here to make free agent offers, draft picks, and during the season mainly trade offers to improve your team. Don't complain that you can't bench all your best players and that somehow makes you "less engaged" as if benching your best players is a huge activity draw.

billy - I'll modify the post. I'm not trying to skirt rules, these are the guys I truly think are my future, and most of my "better players" by rating are going to be either career backups (and not even 6th man studs either) or out of the league in 4 years or less. But do I actually HAVE TO play both Ulis & Payne in my starting lineup? That seems almost like a way to lose games, too....

Benching a 60 overall PG for a 48 overall Okobo isn't the same thing, Okobo isn't winning shit and if he is gonna be in the NBA this time next year, his build will be completely different anyway. In this case, if you wanna play Okobo over Cameron Payne, then you should rebuild request Cameron Payne so he is low enough to make it make sense.

As for your point, yes I'm here for those things but I'm ALSO here to see how the future of my team plays when given big minutes and leading the team. I want to see how they gel in the sim, I want to shift them around positionally, etc. I don't expect to win games, no. I'm not sure that makes me truly "tanking", but maybe? I'm benching guys like Ulis or McLemore who don't even play IRL. Yes, it was an exaggeration, I should be keeping an eye on Free Agents and looking for trades, but I will honestly be pretty turned off to watch a roster which I can not control the starting lineup play this season. I likely won't click on the results after about the first 5-10 games of my young guys sitting on the bench with minimal minutes.

I would never click on the results if I was tanking either, by the time you're trying to win all of those playerss builds will be different, eh? Trust me though, I understand wanting to see your young players play. I had people benching rookie Lauri Markkanen and stuff last year because he was one of their best players. I tried to make a "start your three best players rule" and it leads to the 4th-9th best players on the team receiving 0 minutes. I had to make some type of rule, because I don't like having rules where I just make judgement calls based on how I feel about things. This rule is across the board for all tankers, and is just meant to keep things realistic, but I'm more than reasonable and really do want you to have fun. If McLemore and Cameron Payne and Tyler Ulis would be benched over Okobo, then let's get them rated like it first.

I've lifted the rebuild request limit for the beginning of the season, so go ahead and make threads for the guys you think need lowered.
