Damn Stuff, I want to let this trade happen because it gives me hope that ORL can make a run for the playoffs and put BOS to 10 in the East...
But, y'all don't own your 2019 1st and you can't have traded picks in consecutive years. So that pick would have to be 2021, (Or perhaps, a pick swap in 2020 if HOU owns their own pick?)

Interesting trade.
For Orlando, this is all about shutting the black hole which is understandable.
Plus, that pick is basically on Stuff's hands because if he decides to tank by 2021, Houston gets nothing (No Conveyance).
For Houston, he improves the tanking, get extra cap space and a trading asset that next year tankers might find interesting.

Hate to be that guy but I'm gonna reject this. Gortat is barely a starting center now and that pick is just way more valuable than him. Even with no conveyance. Gortat has little if any value. Too dangerous a trade for Orlando

Oof. I guess I'll accept here, but only because there's not a huge number of solid rim protecting bigs on the market. If I were ORL though, I'd be trying to get Robin Lopez instead, because he's better imo and probably easier to get. An overpay for ORL, though. But the pick being top eight protected makes it palatable.

Think this trade doesn't work salary wise. Made the maths and it stopped working after you added Mike James going your way.
$12,782,609 + $990,000 - $2,900,000 - $3,000,000 = $7,872,609 > $6,926,200 (Magic cap space)
It is easy to fix though. You just need to add Jodie Meeks' $1,000,000 dead contract going Rockets' way.
