Current rating (65) Porter needs a slight increase If hes not their already he will be a star soon. He has helped the wizards stat in contention, and really stepped up with john wall out for the wizards. Hes got a great all around game and with per 36 numbers of 16.6ppg 1.8spg 2.3apg 7.3rpg 83%ft 54%fg 43%3pg Lets give this man the rating he deserves! Thanks

A 65 is actually high for him. He’s decent defensively, and inconsistent on offense. There are games when he’ll drop 20 and then there are games where he’ll score single digits. Ultimately he’s a good role player, nothing less, nothing more. Increasing what already is a high rating for him would have him in line with all stars in this sim.

Per36 is also not a great indicator for an increase

Imo, per 36 has its place in determining increases for bench players or guys who start in small minutes, but that's in combination with shooting splits and raw stats. Like, earlier in the season Thon Maker was starting but only getting like 12 minutes a game. If I were arguing for his increase, I'd drop his raw stats and his per36, since he's playing the majority of his minutes against starting level guys.
With Porter it doesn't make a lot of sense because he's a starter that plays starting level minutes. I'm more interested in seeing what he's doing with the opportunity he has, because he already has ample opportunity to show off his game.
Overall, per 36 is okay, but its more of a contextual stat. Its better for disseminating how close bench rotation guys are to putting up starting level production in their limited minutes. It's good for a guy like Shabazz Napier-- he's usually one of the first guys off the bench for POR (so not a garbage time guy) and since he's behind two-all-star level guards in POR's rotation, there's a chance that he's actually better than just a bench player. If he's playing 20 minutes a game, and averaging 20/5/3 per 36 (I'm sure he's not, but theoretically) on good shooting, you could make a great argument that he deserves a starter level rating.
