CP3 only shooting 30% from three in the sim with 79 3P-rating. In NBA he has been close to 38-40% shooter for last few seasons.
I don't know if it's possible to make a better build of him without increasing the overall rating? I think people won't be voting more than 73 if I start a SW.

His overall lowering... well thats up to you to decide if you want to risk it.

But also, team build is super important for how a player's three point ability translates to the sim. I've had multiple guys with the 3P attribute perform poorly from 3 regularly simply because the team around them wasn't really formulated to maximize their shooting... presumably some combination of a lack of a great passer with a lack of enough shooters to really space the floor? Who really knows. The point is, every once in a while you might sim a season to test out a trade or something and find that your guy starts to shoot the three like he should have been able to all along. I suppose that's where most of the variance comes in? Most guys who are great shooters IRL don't require TOO much around them to still shoot very serviceable percentages, but the sim can be very picky.

Just looked my other sim-runs and there are seasons where CP3 has shot normally, so I guess it's just variance.
One "fun" fact is that Deandre Jordan is shooting 30.5% from three with 1.4 attempts per game. The sim is doing sometimes weird things.

Ive ranted maybe 5-6 times now in stock watch about big men and their ratings, and how sometimes the extra points will have to go into 3P and can actually make the player worse. At one point I was just making the players rated lower than their votes and 0ing out the 3p rating for players who didn't take any (DJ, Whiteside) but I stopped because that seemed... unfair.
