We accept this deal.
Losing the number 2 pick hurts, but these dead money contracts are a huge blemish, and ultimately are limiting the long term upside of my team. Basically, with them on the best I can do is reserve room for one max FA signing. Without, I have so so so much more flexibility.
I feel that even if my young talent develops well, the ultimate goal of a rebuild is to get guys on low contracts so that you can afford to complete the team with another star in free agency. So, this is a burden I have to face at some point. I think that being able to do it in a situation where I'm getting 2 lottery picks in return is the most palatable scenario. That is, even though I'm losing pick 2, I'm still gaining things I like in return. In most dumping deals, you just see the TOR team sending a good asset and some bad assets for nothing. This is a better way to do that.
Also, I'll add that while obviously I'd rather have 2 than 8 and 14, the draft spots I'm getting are ones I really like. Based on my scouting--8,9,14 is great positioning and should help me get closer to completing my core.

I accept this deal.
FTR, the contracts are as follows:
Joakim Noah $5,541,667 $5,541,667 $5,541,667 $5,541,667 $5,541,667 $5,541,667 $5,541,666 $5,541,666 $5,541,666 Meyers Leonard $6,861,112 $6,861,111 $6,861,111 $6,861,111 $6,861,111 $6,861,111 $6,861,111 $6,861,111 $6,861,111 Adreian Payne $2,000,000 $2,000,000 $2,000,000 $2,000,000
Basically, I don't like my team that much (on the whole). I took it over last year during the draft, was too busy to research, let my pick get skipped a bit, took a foreign dude that didn't play in the NBA this past year, ended up making some other trades at that time which I was OK with, and then just sat on my team the entire season, basically. I'm trying to get myself invested in this team, so here's a statement move.
Taking on 105+ million dollars for the next 8 years (after this year, that's how much is on the books there) isn't really very fun, but getting pick 2 and putting my mark on this team is worth it. Perhaps Brian gets two guys at 8 & 14 who are both better than who I pick at 2. Crazier things have happened. Picks bust. BUT, I'll now have picks 2, 15, 26 I think, 28, and 4 2nd rounders to play around with and remake this team.
Pick 2 is worth it, plain and simple, for me. I'll likely buy out Noah's contract when contracts roll to next year, and then prooooobably buy out Leonard's contract 3 years after that.

Having a hard time guaging what it would take to get those stretched contracts off, but I think this is pretty close/as good as it will get. Toronto made a big mistake cutting/stretching them and now has to bite the bullet. Hopefully they aren't rushing their rebuild before getting some cornerstone pieces. Accept

Accept.
Makes sense for Kings to get the corner stone of the rebuild with the 2nd pick. There are not many young free agent they have a chance to get anyways to use the cap space, so at least one of those bad contracts can be bought out already next season. Good move.

I’ll accept for the same reasons as the other GMs. SAC gets the better asset but takes on some nasty contracts
