Los Angeles Lakers Send:
John Collins $2,463,200 $2,878,400 $4,262,910 $5,929,708
Charlotte Hornets Send: 18’ 1st round pick(19)
We believe in Collins as a modern big in every way, unfortunately the market for wings and guards this FA isn’t necessarily deep, and we’d rather not shoot and miss out on our targets, with Gobert and Dray, Collins becomes expendable to an extent. We still like a few guys in this draft we think can become allstar/all team caliber players.

Hornets accept, I think Collins is better value than anyone I'll pick at 19. I actually drafted him last year during my brief stint at Lakers GM, so I'm happy to have him on board.

Last year's 19th pick for this year's 19th. Seems about right. Accept

Collins is better than what can be picked here, but, it's not far enough off.

Ouch for LAL but still reasonable value. Accept. I would give 26 for Kuzma. He was last year's 27. Should I get a 2nd with Kuzma for the value I'm losing? In other words, this is questionable reasoning imo. This trade isn't far enough off to reject, I think, but it's closer to a reject for me than you make it sound here imo. Great trade Barber

I honestly think this is horrible value for collins, hes a stud and if we redid last year's draft he would be picked much higher! But theres no collusion, or nothing franchise altering here so its a simple Accept Good trade hornets

Accept. Reasonable risk but highly unlikely Melton ends up better than John the Baptist

The Collins's could be the 7th and 8th best players from last year at this point, (I made up those rankings) and Zach could be 7th with John 8th...doesn't mean your logic still isn't poor. Or, just explained poorly.

Or, just explained poorly. I don’t think my statement is wrong. At no point did i say I didn’t think this was still reasonable value. I didn’t say equal value, which is what you started arguing against. John proved he could be good but also proved he won’t ever be an elite player. 19 hasn’t proved either of those things yet. He could be better than John and no one would bat an eye. Reasonable value.
