Let's get drafting. Any player since NBA merger 1976 is available to be picked. 10 rounds, so 5 starters and 5 backups. Try to make a best possible team, but also a build that would make sense in the field and have also backups for each position.
After the 10 rounds are finished a randomized 16 team bracket will be made. Then each matchup in the bracket will be voted on until there is only one winner left.
Draft order was made randomly in the sign-up thread. 1st round this order, 2nd reversed, 3rd again in this order, etc.. Everyone should be pretty active and remember to tag the next GM once you have made the pick. If you don't make your pick in 12hours, the next GM can make their pick and the draft can continue normally. Just make the missed pick then later.
Draft Order:
2. @xavier0717

I think it's very possible that when all is said and done LeBron could very well take it. But I'll be conservative and take MJ

Is this modern NBA? Is the hand check legal? I don't think we should overthink it. Great players from any era would find a way to be great regardless of the current set of rules.

I don't think that's true. I'm a firm believer most hall of fame centers would not be hall of famers in this era. I also think if curry could be hand checked, he wouldn't be as effective. I'm fine with just drafting for fun and picking legends. Just changes how I'd draft if it were irl

I'm fine with just drafting for fun and picking legends. Just changes how I'd draft if it were irl I agree with some slower centers from past decades for sure.. they would have problems with modern game. But most of the top big guys since 80s were athletic enough to be just fine in defense also in perimeter and have good enough post game to punish most of the small ball lineups from modern game. Problem nowadays is that the big guys don't know how to score from post, so teams just chuck up threes instead. If half of the teams would have proper center with post moves like in the 90s, I think a lot teams would surely go back to playing closer to basket again more because that opens up also more room for threes.. But now there is only like Embiid, KAT, DMC of proper center, and they also hang out most of the time out in the perimeter.
But in the other hand some of the older perimeter legends could fit much better in today's game with green light to shoot threes, no hand checking and more spacing.

Damn, so hard to pick with those guys off the board. I'll go with Kevin Durant. As much as I hate his decision to go to GSW, he's so versatile and he's great at every fascet of the game.
