I'm all for dictatorship and it's obviously BK's right to choose the next GM of the Raptors but I feel like I've been snubbed because account_disabled hasn't really done anything to prove himself worthy to be a GM in this fine league other then copy and pasting NBA.com articles. I would like some opinions on who the league thinks should be the next Raptors GM:

How about each of the three of you makes an actual argument of why you'll be a good GM for the Raptors
Besides "I'm on the waiting list, I have been a GM, ect." Say what your actual plan would be and how you would help the team.
Personally, as the raptors former GM that put in a lot of work on that team, I wouldn't mind having a bit of a say.
Think it would be a good idea, even to have a committee of 5 vote on who gets the gig. Also wouldn't mind opening up candidacy to guys who have worked shitty teams (shaq, Walt, ect.) for a while if they're interested as well.

No. Opening a team for GMs to swap is not a good idea. It never is like they have to stick with what they did the past few years and if they did good with their team then they probably wouldn't want to move anyway. We did that with Warriors. True but that is because we had to because we couldn't just get something new to run that team through the playoffs and potentially competing for the title.

Fair enough but I think we should still have some kind of interview process for the Raptors job

That I am not opposed to if needed like the Raptors are usually an attractive team in sim leagues because most Canadians that are into sim leagues want to play with the Raptors and there are quite a few.
But about moving around current GMs. Yeah, no thanks, lol. And leaving Magic without a GM makes even less sense because they have a quite a lot to work to do this off--season which includes having to re-sign Jimmy Butler. We already had this one off-season when Magic lost Demar DerRozan because the GM went MIA. We don't need another off-season like that for them.

Also, about Doc I would like to remember people that I had to cover for his ass during off-season. If Scott took a good team it wasn't because Julius left a great legacy, lol.
And I speak free about GMs moving around because if there is no GM to handle Butler's re-signing to give an example I probably will take care of it like I did last off-season with Harden.
If I have to I probably will help out but I don't want to because it would require a lot of work on something that I will just leave for another person to enjoy. I would rather just spend the off-season helping Yeezy or something else.

Let's get those /r/basketballgm recruiting posts back up and running then. This but we can wait at least 10 more days till playoffs are almost over to hire someone. 10 days from now is July 3th. That's 17 days before the draft so I would say we are not in that much of a hurry right now.

Yeah just put em up, but do some stuff differently, actually field some interviews for the position, prioritising someone who's had some prior experience in sim leagues/passionate about the NBA/someone who has a lot of time on their hands, not just a post on a waitlist.

In other news, I do agree that there should be an interview or at least a PowerPoint presentation for the Toronto GM vacancy.

to be frank, I am not interested in Toronto. I only said the joke to spite Glen/Julius. But if you guys are taking the joke like a dick up your ass, go for it.

I did not act like that. Your response on the other hand... How I am supposed to know you are joking if you said exactly the same as Nick some days ago with him being serious about it.
