Obviously, everyone's health and well-being should come first. If anyone has any extenuating circumstances due to COVID-19, just let me know and you can take as much of a leave of absence as you need and your team will be saved for you.
However, we do need to come to a decision over what to do with the D720 season, so I present a few options.
1) Follow the NBA exactly. This is a sim league, and we want to follow what the NBA does. Therefore we would suspend the season at the same game that the NBA does and wait and follow their lead. Any changes to the draft or free agency would also be implemented in 720.
2) Suspend the season when the NBA does, but wait and see. We will suspend the season at the same time the NBA does, but then take a wait and see approach on the rest of the 720 season. This is so if the NBA does resume play, we would still have properly rated players and be on the proper schedule relative to the season. However, if the NBA were to cancel the season we would just sim out the rest of the season and playoffs as if nothing had happened, instead of following what the NBA were to do.
3) Just sim as normal. Continue as normal.

How would we handle injuries if we continue to sim Assuming the NBA season ends at the point they postponed but we choose to keep swimming, I’d guess we just handle injuries as if anybody who missed enough games to cross our D720 threshold before the season was postponed would then miss the appropriate amount of games here, anyone who was already shut down for the rest of the season (e.g. Kyrie) and/or scheduled to miss the whole season already, (e.g. Klay Thompson) would be cut from the sim at their respective appropriate game, and anybody else gets treated as if they finished the season healthy and plays out our season. Edit: Obviously swimming = simming, but I’m leaving it because reasons.

I don’t love the idea of postponing but then not following the NBA’s lead. There are lots of players who have been on the rise this season and might have warranted improved ratings come our playoffs that likely won’t get that same respect if the season doesn’t come back. Obviously Philly is stupidly OP in the sim anyway, so finishing out our season as is, is functionally just handing them the title for sure. lol
To me, anything short of ignoring the NBA completely (so we still have something interesting going on in our lives) or following the NBA completely (for the most accurate experience) will probably feel like the wrong move down the line.
I vote we postpone with intentions to follow the NBA exactly, but find some interesting things to do with our sim league to fill the time. Like if we had started that fantasy draft idea a week ago instead of when it started, I definitely would have joined since I have way more time on my hands and I’m significantly more desperate for sports-related content than I was at the time. lol

Philly is going to win regardless so I’m fine with whatever option we choose to do. I’m just excited for this offseason

I think I'm more pessimistic that the season will be started again, so I would keep the option open to sim things normally in a quicker pace if it's officially cancelled

Yeah, there seems very little chance the NBA will play again this season guys, if that changes your vote.

Just sim the season as is. There’s almost no shot the nba continues.

Yeah, there seems very little chance the NBA will play again this season guys, if that changes your vote. Honestly, it doesn’t. If the NBA doesn’t finish, I don’t think our league should run a quarter of a season and playoffs as if nothing happened. The results won’t feel legit even if the champion is basically a foregone conclusion at this point. There’s no way to know what could have happened (injuries, break outs, drop offs, etc.) that might have ultimately made a difference - however large or small. It’s just finishing for the sake of finishing, and if that’s the case then I’d rather not even bother postponing at all. IMO, I’d rather follow the NBA exactly and just fill in the time with other stuff until we know that the season is official done. If we have to not have an official champion because the NBA doesn’t, so be it. It’s not that I care if Philly wins or if Philly wins, it’s just that I like to think we have a fully immersive and as-accurate-as-possible version of the NBA if the teams that we’ve created here were the actual NBA teams. If collectively we’re agreeing to not focus on accuracy I definitely prefer to not stop at all.

I would like to sim the season as normal as i think everyone has a lot of free time on their hands. We should stop when we reach till the D720 playoffs and start that only when the NBA playoffs so that the players are rated appropriately for the playoffs.Ratings in the regular season should not be a big issue as teams can only choose 3 players to stock watch and a few teams have already used that and i doubt that every team would use that so its only a few players that would get affected by it.I believe that in any case we should sim the entire 82 game season as we have a choice to do that while the real NBA may not be able to do that

All it takes is 1 out of them 4 of those 100 for someone else to win.

I'm in the Option 2/3 boat. If we suspend for now and continue eventually, I assume it's just to let things settle a little bit more, and we start simming again in another week or two regardless of what the NBA does. But, I'm cool to just continue simming.
I agree the NBA isn't likely to play again this year, or at least not a real/normal/remainder of their schedule.
Let's sim out the rest of 2019/2020, maybe take your time simming here and there, but it gives us all something to look at which is sports-related in some way!
If the simmer is up to it, and if the NBA doesn't even come back for a looooong time, maybe we can have fun re-simming the season?
- Could be a lot of weird factors to consider (Do we even allow trades to happen? Maybe disallow draft pick trades? The idea is to keep our original "timeline" in tact, is what I'm thinking)...
Anyway, I think we sim the rest of this season, starting sooner than later, and figure out the next step later.

for the poll, can the option that finishes with the least votes be taken out, for a then definitive poll between the two remaining options eventually?
because as of now, 9 of 15 want to continue the season in some fashion which outweighs the other 6 of 15.

What about we suspend the season on the same game the NBA suspended the season.
Then while we wait we do the Fantasy Draft sim stuff until the NBA decides what to do. If they restart, we will restart. If they cancel the season we will have another poll on how to finish out the season.
Yeah?
