Mr. Paul Pierce, last season you finished with a record of 33 wins and 49 loses but you were able to secure the services of a dynamic young duo in Karl Anthony Towns and Devin Booker. Then, somehow you got #2 pick and moved it to get even more talent in John Collins plus a couple of picks. Now, this season you are close to the top of the east with a 36-15 record and you recently obtained Chris Paul and Tristan Thompson to go with the other guys and be able to compete right away.
So, here are a couple of questions for you.
1st question) After your recent additions how do you expect the rest of the Season to be and how far do you believe you can go in this year Playoffs? I know your team has been rebuilding for a while so Playoffs must be something new for you but do you think you can actually win the whole thing?
2nd) I noticed that now you have a mixture of players that could be really good for a while like Towns, Booker and Collins plus some experienced veterans in Paul and Thompson. So my question is the following. For how long do you expect to be able to compete with your young crew and do you think the team is already at its peak or you anticipate for the best to come to some time in the future?

who do you think you are? what gives... what... what gives you the right? Piggy backing off of Billy’s excellent questions: 1) Why are you the way that you are? I hate... so much about the things that you choose to be. 2) You traded approximately 3 kibbles and 2 bits for three of the most interesting young players in the league. Have you contemplated turning yourself in to the authorities for the crimes you’ve committed?

With Billy we talked about limiting it to 2 questions per GM but since we are still experimenting I will do another one. Plus, I am not a GM, lololol. Ok, here I go.
Pierce, you are one of D720 OGs and yet you never made the Playoffs. Last season, you obtained Towns with only few games away from the 8th seed but you decided to tank once again. Then, it all worked out for you because somehow you turned some low odds into the #3 pick.
So, my question is: Was it all part of a bigger plan or was it because you felt like you were not prepared yet to make your 1st ever Playoffs? Or was it because you expected to be lucky like you were years earlier when you won the lottery (the Fultz pick )? And were you worried by the fact that Booker's and Towns' extensions were about to kick in?
Thanks. And I don't want to hurry you Paul Pierce but we want some answers! People want to know.

What kind of time frame are you hoping to capitalize on this group you’ve put together? 3-5 seasons without deep playoff runs = blow it up, or do you foresee running it back for as long as Book/KAT are still stars?
Also, you’ll probably be one of the easy top choices for a lot of free agents out there - assuming the salary cap isn’t massacred by COVID such that you don’t have a max to offer, which players / what positions do you plan to target to take your core to the next level?

You have some vets on the team, but you were full rebuilding stage not so long ago. Surely you're projecting to continue building around this core long term, and if so, what are the other teams with young talent you are keeping your eyes on as your competitors long term?

Maybe, you can answer in 2 parts as in what you have already done now and the rest later but it is up to you really. Either way, I appreciate that you accepted the challenge. Press Conferences are usually best suited to answer one question at a time because it is easier that way for the one answering.

I finally have some time! To answer your question, I think we can win the title. Philly is by far the favorite but I wouldn’t have traded for CP3 if I didn’t believe in my team. As for the 2nd question. I don’t think my team has hit its peak yet. Booker and KAT are still going to improve into what I believe will be top 10 players. Collins has shown crazy flashes and I think he can be an all star caliber player. If I’m able to play my cards right, I can see my team becoming a Dyansty.

The booker trade was very even, I think you even said you’d prefer the other side at the time. The KAT one was awesome since I was able to sell Randle and Fultz while they still had value. My favorite one was the John Collins trade. 9,10 and Collins for the 3rd... okay maybe I’ll turn myself in

I made the move for CP3 to officially start my title window. However, I don’t think my team will be at full potential for atleast 2-3 more years. I can’t see myself moving Booker or Kat regardless of what happens. I could consider moving Collins before I have to pay him to get a defensive specialist. Hopefully I have enough for the max. My main Target is PG13. I tried to trade for either him or Kyrie this season but I had to settle on CP. If I don’t have max money, I’m more than fine running it back with CP on a 1 year deal.

Surely you're projecting to continue building around this core long term, and if so, what are the other teams with young talent you are keeping your eyes on as your competitors long term? Great question! I have been tanking pretty much my whole tenure. Lottery luck and some good trades played a huge role in my teams current state. The teams I fear at the moment are Philly OKC and Cleveland. They are my immediate rivals. However since I plan on contending the next 5-8 years, there are a few young teams I fear. Toronto has a plethora of young studs. None are to polarizing on their own but together, they are a super well rounded squad. Dallas is also a scary one. A 1-2 punch of Zion and Luka could dominate this league during my window. Cavs scare me as well since Giannis will always be Giannis. If they can put anything around him, they will always be in the picture. Teams like Milwaukee and Sacramento look very promising although it’s still to early to tell.
