4 games left and the current standings are:
1. Leeds 82 2. West Bromwich 80
3. Brentford 75 4. Fulham 73 5. Nottingham 68

Things were actually more exciting one game before because they all won but changes in standings can still happen because there are 12 points in play.
About Premiership I think it is the longest tournament in Europe with 46 games. And last season it finished in dramatic fashion which leads to believe it is still not over- Premiership is usually really tied.
So Leeds are 1st but they are run by Marcelo Bielsa who is a great coach but he is also like Tom Thibodeau because players usually reach the end of the season as if they were part of the cast of the walking dead because of the fatigue. this season though with the break due to the virus that factor is questionable I suppose. Leeds actually won last game 4-0.
But yes, last season Leeds were 1st by match 32, then 2nd by match 42 by a large margin and then, they lost 3 games and got 1 draw out of the last 4 games and they finished 3rd.
3rd is good enough for playoffs though but they were done already.
Playoffs basically take teams from 3rd to 6th and do direct elimination between each other.
2 more interesting stories about Leeds.
They won the uefa fair play award last season for giving back the ball in one of those games but some games before that they also had a england wide dispute because he sent a spy to watch Derby's training and Lampard (Derby's coach back then and with Chelsea now) pretty much wanted Bielsa fired.
About the bets and to spice things a little bit I will go: 2k on Leeds 200 on Brentford 100 on Fulham

How many teams make promotion tournament? Top 3 or 4? top 2 are promoted directly and top 3-6 go to direction elimination Playoffs (3 vs 6, 4 vs 5 and the winners face each other to see who is the 3rd promoted team).
If you bet now you should quote the updated odds from Shaq's link.
Edit: I see the link actually goes to an article that probably didn't even have the updated odds in the first place because it was posted in June 22th, lololol.

Brentford and Fulham play in 1 hour Wembley for the 3rd and last promotion to the Premier League. If Brentford wins, I win 100 extra BB. If it is Fulham, I lose 100. By the way, I was wrong about something I said earlier I mentioned the Playoffs for 3rd as being direct elimination. The final is 1 game but semifinals were the best of 2 (Home and Away given the upper hand to the best seeded team in case of tie). |
