Current build with simulated stats(2022 season): Real life stats: Suggested build with simulated stats(2023 season) Currently Grant's build is too good for a player who is basically stat padding on a bad team in real life. He has a below league average EFG%, TS% and a negative net rating. As you can see I have basically brought down his physical and shooting attributes to lower his %s and volume. His defense also gets hit but I think that is fine since he was an All defensive team player in the sim consistently. I bumped up his free throws to get it closer to real life and bumped his passing a little bit. For comparison purposes Jaylen Brown has the same overall as Grant which I think should not be the case. Yes overall is a flawed metric but Brown trumps Grant in pretty much every facet of the game. I do not think my suggested build is a perfect build but I think it is pretty reasonable as to which direction we need to go in with Grant. Using Theodore Duncan 's sheets, these are the results Imo his volume can still come down a little since he has a lesser role on the 720 Lakers with less mpg than the irl Pistons, so I am going to suggest an overall of 60

1. He isn’t stat padding. The next closest dude on that shitty excuse of a team is averaging 14 ppg, meaning teams literally put their best 2-3 defenders on him routinely
2. He’s also the primary defender on this horrible Pistons team. More energy exhausted = Worse efficiency
3. He’s battled multiple injuries lately which could be a contributing factor into his more recent poor efficiency,
4. I think these are quite pointless unless they have a large volume of work to base around. At one point Grant had respectable splits. This would be more valid if his poor efficiency continued into next season as the #1 guy.

He's doing much worse so far this year than previous years. A small decrease might be warranted but I wouldn't put a lot of stock into just one bad season when he's been quite good the previous 3 seasons. 64

I think 60 is way too low also. That is more of a good 3&D role player rating, but not someone who can actually score over 20ppg Although 66 is maybe tad high, he has still increased a lot his per36 stats. So it's not just about getting more minutes, but also making more impact on those. Also maybe the injuries have been affecting, in beginning of the season he did look like borderline all-star
