i doubt monrooe is a ring chaser at his age, maybe the hawks will offer him a place where he will be the number 1 option and can spread his wings to develop into teh best player he can be

I think Monroe wants to join a young team full of potential that he can grow with and win numerous rings down the road.

Greg Monroe decides to sign with the Oklahoma City Thunder.
2015-16: $17,500,000
2016-17: $19,250,000
2017-18: $21,000,000
2018-19: $22,750,000 (Player Option)
2019-20: $24,500,000 (Player Option)
We will be including player options in the final two years of your client's contract to allow him an unhindered ability to pursue a larger salary with us at any point further down the line when the cap raises and he's spent enough years in the league to command a 30% max instead of 25%. Additionally, we'd like to extend the following promises:
- Greg Monroe will be a starter on the Thunder starting immediately.
- The Thunder will include a no-trade clause to make sure that Greg knows his position with our team is stable and doesn't have to worry about when he might get shipped out.
- The Thunder will make the playoffs with Greg Monroe as a part of our team.
- The Thunder will win a championship by 2019-2020 (Greg's last year on contract) at the latest.
- The Thunder will surround Greg with quality starters (The ratings of our starting lineup will be at least 64 at all times during Greg's contract).
Our plan for Greg in our lineup:
Your client would officially be our starting Power Forward (moving Khris Middleton and Draymond Green down to Shooting Guard and Small Forward respectively) who will occasionally slot in at Center, so that our finished lineup would be:
PG - Reggie Jackson (25 years old - 62 rating, due for upgrade, 5 years on contract)
SG - Khris Middleton (24 years old - 65 rating, due for upgrade, 5 years on contract)
SF - Draymond Green (25 years old - 68 rating, due for upgrade, 5 years on contract)
PF - Greg Monroe (25 years old - 66 rating, due for upgrade, 5 years on contract)
C - Steven Adams (22 years old - 60 rating, due for upgrade, 2 years on contract+RFA)
6th - Isaiah Thomas (26 years old - 67 rating, due for upgrade, 3 years on contract)
7 - Mason Plumlee (25 years old - 63 rating, due for upgrade, 2 years on contract+RFA)
8 - Langston Galloway (23 years old - 61 rating, possibly due for upgrade, 1 year on contract+RFA)
Runner up was the Boston Celtics. It was very close vote.

Thank you, sir. There are still a few big FA fish left in the pond, I'd be surprised if you don't find the right guy to finish out that line up.

That signed Monroe? Yeah. But only because I missed out on the bigger fish I was trying to sign... Aldridge I think? But Monroe looked... promising? I mean it’s not like I was the only suitor. lol

Wasn't Monroe moved like 4-5 times before he was cut? lolololol. Or maybe I am confusing it with the dead contract.
Thunder could be a title contender this season if it wasn't for Beal and Simmons' injuries. Bad luck. Although I think they came close to beating the Sonics once early in Monroe's contract when he was good.

I trade for him and also sent him to the Magic for Ryan Anderson I believe
