Boston Trades: G 62 Rodney Stuckey $947,276 Draft Rights to Rondae Hollis-Jefferson $947,276 New Team Salary: $43,301,121
Oklahoma City Trades: PG 67 Isaiah Thomas $6,912,869 $6,587,131 $6,261,394 $6,912,587
I accept. I hate to lose my 1st round pick, but I get an exceptional young guard. Stuckey was also a consistent player for my team. Thomas will come in and play my 6th man role.

I accept. I want to clear the space to go after free agents and while it sucks to see IT3 go, I'm happy to welcome Stuckey and RHJ to OKC.

Isaiah > a 1st and a 62 overall by just a little. but it makes it even that steve wants to shed some cap space

I think Isaiah is worth more than that.. My thought process: Whoever I traded for basically had to be a rookie or very cheap, because I wanted to have the full max to offer to a free agent. And I WAS aiming for a better rookie, but I was in too much of a time crunch trying to clear the space before Aldridge signed to pursue some other offers for IT further. Now that it's too late to up my offer Aldridge, I kind of wish I had just waited to try to find a better offer, but I definitely don't think this trade will hurt me badly in the long term if at all. Overall: I still have a passable 6th man in Stuckey or Galloway, I still have a solid player on a long term deal in RHJ (plus he fits my "defense first" team build too), and this way I'll be able to avoid having to sign a bunch of vet min free agents to fill out my roster to the 12-man minimum since I should have enough rookies to meet that after a free agent signing.

accept. the value steve gets in return of IT3 in this deal is less than ideal imo but if you factor in the better free agent hes gonna get i think it makes this worth it for him.

I guess I'll accept. IT is worth more but it doesn't seem quite rejectable.
