The Minnesota Timberwolves front office was ecstatic to receive the news of acceptance of a free agent they were targeting this off-season.
"We may have lost the bid to bring Bismack Biyombo into our fold, but we did land one of the best free agents available in the market today. It was an easy choice to go after him, and I believe he was at awe with our presentation" said Milt Newton, Wolves general manager. "Our team is primarily built on youth and defense, so having this player would definitely boost our offensive arsenal. We may have committed alot of money on this deal, but we guarantee him an opportunity to help mentor our rookies and younger players with experience." ... "The team is starting to take shape... We will have a go for it this coming season."
The identity of the player and contract details are currently withheld since the player agent has yet to publicly announce the finality of the deal.
The Timberwolves are said to look for another rim protector, or defensive anchor.
