And so is Lue. He could have called a timeout when he saw Smith was having an episode.

And so is Lue. He could have called a timeout when he saw Smith was having an episode. You cant blame coach for that. All NBA players should know time and score especially in a Freaking Finals game. Jr grabs the rebound and every body thinks he is going to go up with it to either draw foul or try and win it why would Lue call a timeout there especially with 4 secs on the clock , they were in good position to get a shot off or draw fool or even kick it out for a shot.Coach trusted his players to know the time and score, there was no need for a timeout if Jr knew the time and score, which he should have known.

especially with 4 secs on the clock The 4 seconds are the main reason why he should have called the timeout I think because you want to plan the play well and not possibly let the Warriors have one last attempt even if it is a 1 second shoot. Plus, I wouldn't bet on Jr making a smart move in 4 seconds after grabbing an offensive rebounds with 2 guys breathing over his neck. Not saying JR had no responsibility for it though. Just think a better coach would have called a timeout.

Just think a better coach would have called a timeout. I guess he could have saved him but i doubt a good coach would have called a timeout because 1. they already would have talked about what to do in that situation 2. If you watch the good coahes usually on a rebound with a tie game and less then 5 secs left you let the play run and catch the Defenss off guard because 5 secs is not a lot of time with a set defense. This game had 4 seconds left and then it would turn into 2 or 3 secs left after the missed free throw. Now this also gives the Warriors a chance to setup up defense and all they have to to is defend for the most 3 secs. I think you get a better shot playing off the rebound while everybody is scrambling. Remember Jr was open when he started dribbling away, lebron was open at top of key and Hill was open at sidleine 3. Would you have gotten the same look off a Tyrone lue drawn up play with 3 secs left? I dont think so They were in good shape there was no need for a time out. If you dont trust JR smith then he shouldn't have been in the game at that time. Its not Lue's fault a NBA Player made a brain fart, he shouldnt need his coach to rescue him by calling a time out.... Coaches can't be blamed for bone head plays ask Mcgee i bet he wished Kerr called a timeout when he saw mcgee was out of postion before he blew that dunk.

Kawhi Leonard wants out it seems.
If Stevens is the new Popovich it would make sense for him to want to go there.

Crossing my fingers over here that if this goes down Brown is part of the deal so he gets a chance to spread his wings in San Antonio. Boston is gonna be stacked as hell for scoring options with Hayward back.

As a Cs fan I don't want kawai unless it's Hayward and some minor prospects and late picks. I'd rather keep our team as is unless we can get AD or KD

I think then matching would go the other way. You'd have to take on Patty Mills or Green/Gay if they opt-in or S&T.

I'd rather keep our team as is unless we can get AD or KD that’s wishful thinking, kd would’ve signed two years ago if he intended to play in Boston, and as much as we’ve heard the AD in Boston thing, I think his loyalty lies in NO for the time being. Kawhi has evolved into a top 5 overall player, while still playing elite defense. A core of Kyrie, Tatum, Kawhi, Horford + friends with Stevens coaching is exciting. Trading Hayward shouldn’t be a question, but I’d hesitate if the Spurs asked for Kyrie...

As for Irving, you got to wonder what's going through his mind right now. He is expiring and he is acting all mysterious.

Its not unprotected its top 5 protected for the next five years. Dallas is planning on making the playoffs soon or hopefully next year if they land a Good free agent C or 2. They would rather keep the cap room to chase a fa rather then select a late 1st round pick. They also probably want to trade Wesley for a better piece then bazemore.shoot they could probably trade wes to a contender and get a late first pick back if they wanted

Kent Bazemore Guard/Forward 2018-19: $18,089,887, 2019-20: $18,089,887 {Player Option} Wesley Matthews Guard/Forward 2018-19: $18,622,514
Matthews is even more expensive next season.

They could trade him away next off-season though. It doesn't take a top 10 pick to move an expiring contracts of a decent role player with a slightly overpaid contract.
For comparison purposes, Grizzlies were unable to move Parsons this off-season but he is almost unplayable at this point and he is a lot more expensive.
Chandler Parsons Forward 2018-19: $24,107,258, 2019-20: $25,102,511

Matthew's gets you more then Baz in a trade
