Well only reason DAJ got 22mil was because he was scheduled to make 24mil if he hadnt opted out, which im sure he wouldn't have in this market. Dallas and Clippers were working on a trade, but they couldn't work it out so pretty sure Dallas told DAJ to opt out and we will pay you your salary which was guaranteed this year if you hadn't opted out and we can test each other out and extend you next year to a long term deal with a cheaper yearly salary. Gotta include Capela's 5/90mil too

At first i was upset because i would rather have paid Capela that then DAJ but then realized they were just paying him what he would have gotten from LA anyway next year we will see what they pay him. This was just to get him a year faster then waiting till free agency next year.

And as much as I love Brown on the Celtics and want him to stay and help them contend for championships, I’d be tickled pink as his owner in D720 if Brown ended up gettin an opportunity to lead a team of his own and show what he’s got.

I got to be honest. I want the NBA to like me this season but I feel like they went too far with the whole freedom of movement for offensive players. Feel like defenders are getting called for whatever in some cases and that offensive players can get away with some grabbing and pushing that defenders wont. What's more, defenders sometimes get called for illegal actions that were initiated by the offensive players which is not new but is still there. Hopefully, things get more normal as season progress. At least, that is how I feel right now. 2015-16 fouls per game: 20.3 2016-17 fouls per game: 19.9 2017-18 fouls per game: 19.9 2018-19 fouls per game: 23.1 16.1% more in fouls is a lot and that number accounts for total fouls. If you take defensive fouls only, that % is probably a lot higher. Could that % leap be attributed to a higher pace? In part, yes it could because right now every team in the league has a higher pace than last year's average. However, if you go by fouls per 100 poss the average went from 20.27 to 22.63. That's still a pretty high 11.64% leap. I know some people don't feel like this at all about how the NBA is evolving so please don't kill me for feeling this way.

I am probably overreacting a bit though like when the ads came in. Have never been a fan of super high tempo though. But It is true some players need time to adjust the way they play defense in order to get less fouls like Paul George who is currently averaging 4.7 fouls per game. We will see how numbers look like by all-star break.

Love 2K myself because NBA Live was all run and gun hit from anywhere, 2k you actually had to run plays and know basketball to be elite in it vs live where you just had to have the right release.

Wizards hitting rock bottom. 2-9 and with all their main guys.
Wall's supermax that starts counting next season is looking pretty bad right now. You got to wonder if it was really necessary.

I could be off base, but I’d be surprised if Fultz is a Sixer long term.

Luke-warm take: Butler will hamstring the Sixers if they pay him the big bucks. I think he's a great player, but I'm not crazy about the fit on the Sixers.

76ers should trade Fultz already. Next season he will be Okafor all over again but worse. As with Okafor, they don't want to trade him because they are afraid they would look like fools if he becames really good elsewhere so they probably will wait till it is too late for him...

See. This is what I am talking about. Honestly, if the NBA could prove in any way that the 76ers organization would rather see Fultz suck with them than succeed elsewhere they should be fined with multiple years without picks. You simply shouldn't be allowed to fuck with a player's career only to not look stupid which is by the way ridiculous thinking. basketball.realgm.com/wiretap/251939/Sixers-Executives-Want-First-Round-Pick-For-Markelle-Fultz Sixers' ownership want a first-round pick - and not a low one - in return for Markelle Fultz.
Conflicted on whether the team should cut their losses with Fultz or hope he figures out his struggles, Sixers executives "view [Fultz] becoming a star for another team worse than him remaining a Sixer and continuing to struggle", and they would have to "look at themselves in the mirror" if Fultz does become a star after he gets traded.

Popovich is now 3rd tied with Jerry Sloan for more all-time regular season wins. He is 111 wins behind from Lenny Wilkens and 114 behind Don Nelson.

Honestly think the Mavericks need to have a fire sale on some of their players...
Powell Jordan Matthews Barnes
All need to go... If we would get a Vucevic, Otto Porter or miraculously Bradley Beal out of these 4 players... that would be great. Would have to take on contracts with more years though...

Amazing what he's doing with that team who lost their starting PG in Murray. They got DeRozan this season though. I would say what they are doing now is as impressive as what they did last season. To me the real value about Popovich is that the nba changed a lot during the last decades but he was able to adjust and be elite each and every time. And he even won while resting players.

It is really commendable that in an era that is so reliant on the 3 pt shot, pop is making it work with 2 midrange assassins as his best players namely demar and aldridge
