Three quarters of a pie is still better than no pie.

Thing is, even Noob’s roster ratings will be tweaked, it’s inevitable. Some of his ratings are off, and they seem like they’ll bring back up the too many high scoring games problem. Honestly feel like the stock watch system should’ve never went away, we never had these problems last year. github.com/alexnoob/BasketBall-GM-Rosters/releases/tag/2019.1.3Try it out for yourself, did a sim myself and only 3 teams have a + 10 margin of victory compared to the 9 we usually have, it actually seems pretty good.

Honestly feel like the stock watch system should’ve never went away, we never had these problems last year. I handled the stock watch. For one, I think it introduces unnecessary bias into the ratings, moreso than what the recent system does (though individual owner WANT bias, and feel more strongly leading to more acute backlash in the recent system). But much more importantly, I don't have time to handle that anymore. Law school is kicking my ass. If someone else could take it over, that's maybe a consideration. But there's an initial cost. You'd (1) need to put together a google form and google sheet to track voting (not too difficult) but also (2) put together an algorithm (or algorithm plus ad hoc interventions) to generate the builds, which Billy and I each did in our own capacities. That takes a good amount of time and effort, and you genuinely need to be interested in the problem, I think, to accomplish it.

Bit different style of building few of the players, and some athletic players are overrated there imo. But running one season with that, the stats seem to be pretty realistic looking. I'm fine for changing to these rosters.
if those rosters are updated few times a year, it should be easy enough to change also here. If needed I can definitely help with reorganizing players to right teams etc.

Sorry to be such a butt I could come back and do the sims and general running of the league but the way ratings are being handled needs changed immediately and I haven’t heard any great ideas yet What about using the alexnoob rosters and just rearrange the players. We will just use his rosters each year as he publishes them and not do any in-house rating changes or updates half the problem besides the complaining is the fact that ratings keep changing. This is like the 4th or 5th time ratings will change this year. The constant tinkering to appease people than can’t/won’t be appeased is out of hand at this point. What exactly will change with this ratings change that didnt change last time? Most of my issues have come from my perspective, not your guyses. Is the constantly changing ratings a real problem for GMs? I’d never really pay attention as a GM except to my own players mostly. The problem with me doing ratings really isn’t the amount of work, the amount of work was reasonable, it’s more just being responsible for ratings 350 players exactly consistently otherwise I wake up to 3-4 bitching every day about one of their players. The old stock watch system was awful. Y’all thought it was great but those ratings are what produced the stupid results from the beginning of the season. Everyone was pooping their pants a week ago because Bradley beals 3 point rating was 3 points lower than it should be, but seemed to forget how fucking wack the box scores were at the beginning of the season. Remember when all the centers in the league took threes? And all the big men were super OP because they added so many points to the team totals they shouldn’t have? Voting (at least by just voting on an overall) will never work. It might have appeased GMs but it 💯 produced worse ratings overall than my method. The alexnoob rosters are probably bad. There’s probably a lot of overrated players or underrated players. Not only that but we will start having to somewhat ignore how a player plays in real life and start just trading for players that are built well in his rosters, because those are who will be good that year. It’s sad, but we have too many goddamn assholes to try any other method.
